Because completely removing it and acting like it doesn’t exist is wrong. It creates harder times, covering it up doesn’t fix the issue, just slaps a band-aid on it.
Except Blizzard said that homosexual relationships are normal in universe. So no, both mindsets aren’t possible at the moment. But, the moment they write homophobe blood elves then you’re allowed to point at then and argue your position.
This is the first time I’ve seen someone use the “I’ve rped for so many years, so therefor I have a right to be homophobic” as an excuse.
I don’t want to see it again, tyvm.
I have given examples to where I draw my conclusions from. You haven’t.
Just because it isn’t written down doesn’t mean that it cannot happen.
But it does exist. Everybody knows it exists. Everybody knows that horrendous crimes that mentally scar people for the rest of their lives exist, and everybody knows that IRL racism exists. That doesn’t mean that any of those topics deserve a seat at the table in roleplay.
You didnt. You basically took a random piece of text and called it valid reason for homophobia.
I’m not asking for your head cannon, never had, I’m asking for actual cannon.
And what about violence, death, gore, and so on. People witness murder IRL, yet people RP that, there’s cases where war has traumatized people. Honestly, I wouldn’t mind at all if they outright somehow removed the ability for people to RP homophobia via banning or w/e. I just don’t think assuming the person has a legitimate hate towards LGBT IRL because of that is right.
You cannot say that Bastrick, its strictly prohibited by forum council of 10.
Just because something is normal doesn’t mean everyone has to like it either.
My previous points as an example.
I would consider homosexuality fairly normal in real life and condemn homophobia. But there are still people who don’t like it.
Was the clown face the part where I was to continue taking you seriously? Grow up.
Prove me wrong and provide your own. I have already made an argument. You need to counter it.
People rp that because there is in universe evidence that murder happens on Azeroth, unlike homophobia, of which there is literally evidence for the opposite.
I’m happy for you that you haven’t had enough negative encounters with homophobia in real life for it being forced into WoW to bother you
Not everyone is that lucky.
Or just not tolerate it in the community.
people that insert highly graphic violence should also get slapped for a ToS breach.
see: the Danuser statement i linked earlier.
I think you’ll find that you have growing up to do as you’re really dying on the hill of “I can be homophobic in rp if I want to because I said so!”
But now I gotta rush!
Don’t be a bad rper, don’t be homophobic!
everyone!
It’s because violence, death, and gore have a basis in Warcraft. It’s in the franchises namesake - War. It’s par for the course, it’s an expectation that everyone is prepared for from the moment they type in their username and password, enter into Stormwind or Orgrimmar, and start roleplaying. The faction conflict was a huge part of this expansion too - war is the cornerstone. Homophobia by comparison, isn’t, so whereas talking about war and violence is something explicitly shown in-universe, disdain and dislike towards gay people is not, so it’s hard not to imagine somebody inserting in a real-life viewpoint.
Also, what about the ignore function. Isn’t that to be used if something bothers you? Just because you feel its impeding your ability to enjoy this ‘space’ per say, doesn’t mean we need to start globally banning everyone who isn’t in the know regarding RP etiquette over certain subjects.
An argument without cannon proof is not much of an argument in this scenario Im afriad, and I counter argued you múltiple times and even offer some advice.
True. Point me to the homophobe blood elf written by Blizzard.
When I signed up to play wow I didn’t expect to be met with a story revolving around gay characters either, but i’m along for the ride and enjoying nonetheless of my expectations right?
I wonder then why you don’t bat an eyelid at the things Morsteth and Krasarang say and express on these matters. It should be one rule for everyone, not one rule for your friends and a different rule for those you’re not acquainted with.
No. It’s usually reserved for stubborn people like you who can’t even admit they’re in the wrong.
