Yeah they will be for sure, i thought you were talking about vanilla
If you want classic with wotlk things like mecenary or racials…w8 for wotlk classic release in next year
isn’t it wonderfull to see allies promoting a bad organized game so they can get free perks? Kind of like extreme feminism.
On any inbalanced server, the opposing faction that had more population was toxic because ego and power hungry so that goes for allies and horde alike.
Maybe if alliy queues were longer, horde would have switched to the mentality of “haha, re-roll” but either so, it just shows how small people are imo.
The solution i see is to make horde/horde bg and mix them up.
Also, kind of funny when ppl complain about premades in horde when at 3 am ST after a one hour, 10 minutes long queue, we got a full premade for eots so rip.
Alliance saying that unplayable BGs for Horde are equal to Alliance getting killed in the world (on a PvP server, reroll on PvE maybe - this literally is how the game was intented to be played), yet I don’t see any topics about it, so I guess it’s not that big of an issue, whereas long BG ques are literally the only topic that is brought up here by numerous players.
1k per hour is already 1k more since we wait this hour. For getting vs premades which we cant form. Why? When someone leave after 50 min and we replace him queue beginns again.People wanna use this hour for a dungeon? No you cant leave the group or you out.
Horde already has that mentality with “haha retoll pve” both sides are full of toxic people
This is impossible. The reason the queues are this long are because there’s a lot less alliance playing.
You said it yourself, changing racials slightly will not change this.
This exacerbates the faction imbalance, non starter.
No, that would be unequitable.
I’m almost sure this is not possible numerically, given how many active PvPers tend towards horde.
And while we are at it, could we add LFD as well, buff Paladins to super Saiyan mode, make Threat a non-issue, and give Warriors Titans grip and Bladestorm?
Same answer: No.
TBC == TBC Racials. WotLK == WotLK racials.
Nope. Faction identity matters in Classic. Merc-Mode doesn’t fit.
Nope, for the same reason as 3)
So all the advantages from being the (usually) numerically superior faction in open world (pvp, farming, leveling, sum-stone usage), having the superior racials AND bonus honor on top of that?
Nope. Not gonna happen.
And here is the ACTUAL solution to the problem:
Nothing. Because there is no problem Blizzard needs to solve. The issue of long BG WQs is not caused by the game, it was known beforehand that this would happen, and people mass-created horde toons for PvP anyway.
Oh it doesnt change anything for you in this 100% alliance server dont worry about this problem and solutions.
How is that unequitable, exactly? I’d argue that not having equal queue times is unequitable.
#Nochange
TBCC is like a museum and should be untouched as much as possible. Do you go and change the paintings of Da Vinci or Picassos to fit modern peoples opinion? No.
Reroll faction or ask for horde faction change.
This is caused by meta slaves.
#nochange is not a valid argument when there have already been changes. Classic was allegedly #nochanges yet the game was extremely different from the original. All that hashtag is, is a lie. The game will never be the same as it was back then because it’s not a museum; people are interacting with it. Da Vinci or Picassos paintings are just looked at, in the same state as they were when they were made.
If they splitt the battlegroups to PvP and PvE server instead of a mix of both as it is now they could then give PvP server hordes the option to move to PvE server horde as they are the underdogs there and thus would get faster queues.
Yea there has been some alterings which I agree on like boosts etc. Thus I wrote that it should be as untouched as possible.
But altering core elements of original core TBC PvP aint the right way. Soon someone else will cry and say let me cut the hair on our chars. I cant stand to have same haircut all the time.
Now Horde faction domination in PvP may not be the same thing as a haircut. But Horde players had the choice to roll Alliance. No one forced people to join Horde. I prefer Horde all day but knowing the queue times made me reroll Alliance. I certainly dont spam forums about changes to fit me.
TBCC is like a museum
lol no, it’s more like band revivals, it kind of looks the same, sounds similar but isn’t really the same
I’m starting to think that the reason why the ff14 community is doing so much better than World of Warcraft classic’s is fundamentally because of the factions in wow. In ff14 those don’t exist so the community cares about the state of the game for everyone, where as what this whole BG mess has shown (and phase 2 of classic) is that, if only the other faction is impacted by something the community isn’t unified on a problem. Whereas in ff14 if half the player base was suffering, the community would unite and get it fixed by a much more invested and active dev team.
This is the fundamental issue, Players of the game are experiencing a service that is simply unacceptable right now, stop viewing things as factional but as joint members of a community. Your fellow players, who share the same love for this game actually want to play it, you should all be fighting to see that at the very least this be addressed by a member of staff at Blizzard. We might not agree on the ways to fix it, but we can in good faith agree that this is a huge problem.
Y’all need Jesus and paid faction transfers. No more, no less. It might seem petty, but it’s a perfect analogy to what p2 was for us. Enjoy the game, bois, suck it up and all that.
Much love.
Also, you’re wrong. TIME will inevitably sort this mess out as time drags on and folks quit, you’ll get your 20 min queues back.
And one more thing about community and whatnot, horde’s enjoyment comes at the alliance expense, of course we want them to join our side so it’s not fing one sided all the time and not give them merc queue to make it best faction for everything.
Why is this an issue? BGs are an optional activity, and under no circumstance required.
A full PvP set is not required. You can jump straight into arenas today, and in a few weeks you will start getting arena gear even if you lose every match.
If that is a different can of worms, how come the long queues is an issue at all? There is absolutely no other use for honor gear, besides open world ganking of course.
This is simply not true. Back in TBC some people had t5 gear a bit over a month after the start of season 1. If anything, it appears that Blizzard is already time gating PvE content to make sure that PvP progression stays somewhat closer to PvE progression than was intended back in TBC where t6 gear was available before the start of season 2.
How is this supposed to be achieved? Unless you somehow manage to make fewer hordes or more alliance players queue, the end result of splitting the population into battlegroups will be that the average wait time for both alliance and horde players goes up.
No. WotLK features have no place in TBC classic. This change alone also would not have much effect since people aren’t willing to reroll as it is.
Does not solve the undelaying issue. It only serves the purpose of feeding horde honor faster. The last thing the game need at the moment is to add additional benefits to the horde population. That will only add to the existing problems caused by the faction imbalance.
Is this just mercenary mode, but with a twist to weed out the opposition from the handful of alliance players that doesn’t want to play alongside horde players? Again, this would only add to the current faction imbalance.
Giving players an artificial advantage has no place in a MMORPG, especially not when a large amount of those players already have a big advantage over other players. In addition, it would have the same issues as mercenary mode, making horde an even more attractive faction to play.
The only feasible solution is to try to even out the population imbalance. The only thing Blizzard can do in that regard would be to offer free faction transfers from horde to alliance only. I wouldn’t expect many people to take it, but anyone choosing to stay horde would only have themselves to blame.
I’ll stop you right there. For me, and for many, many players, PVP is all we play WoW for. I couldn’t care less about PVE, it bores me to tears - all it is is beating game mechanics which are designed to be beaten. It’s not ‘optional’, it’s the sole reason for my subscription.
Arena only provides helm/chest/shoulders/legs/gloves/boots/weapons. Everything else is farmed via PVE (/spit) or BGs.
You are completely clueless about PVP. Your post is bad and you should feel bad.
THEN I C ONE OPTION FOR YOU BOI. #reroll #nochanges
