So Ion “the liar” did it again…
Current system has almost no pvp gear in it for most classes.
627 bg… Wtf… To upgrade to lvl 190.
I wonder how many arenas, 50000?
Thank u! Cya later!

I don’t know if I can manage another expan where I’m forced to do endless pve to get the right vers + mastery gear for my monk again.
For me I find pve stressful and miserable to play, and once I’ve finished doing all of it I’m too drained and exhausted to even attempt arena. I don’t know what or why Blizz clearly have an agenda to discourage people from pvp’ing, but it really makes me sad.
I feel like I’ve been beaten down by blizz for the past few years now as a pvper, I doubt I’m going to be anything but casual if it’s actually going to be like this. Time to branch out into other games too.
There’s 2 types of players, players that wanna PvE, and ones that wanna PvP.
Blizzard is essentially weeding out a portion of their player base by forcing long grinds of PvE to gear on PvP players.
There won’t be any PvPers soon, it’ll just be PvErs, who PvP.
Sick of it, and if it is as bad as it seems it’s going to be, I’m out for good.
You often hear people say “pvp is just a minigame”. If even this was true, why wouldnt they bother fixing it and straighten things up. For example, if it was only 10% of the total playerbase, why not bother spending some time and energy in it? Would they rather have it to lose that 10% entirely?
I dont know specifics and I don’t care to even waste energy if there is a employee lying.
I would like to focus on pvp only and get my gear from there only, but I feel like I have to admit, that when we could in the past, I’d always get a full set in within a week or maybe 2? And I’d get a bit bored again on that character to keep on playing as I pretty much had obtained close to the best gear for pvp in a short time.
Now if things go through like how it’s looking like for SL, I could start with pvp and pve at the same time. But I would still focus on mythics and raid because it would still be the best way. I wouldnt mind it that much.
The thing I fear the most, is that obtaining the best gear possible would mean for me to grind this game for so many hours I dont have. Like how it is currently. We all know what it’s like with the right stats, neck, cloak and traits atm.
All I can hope for, is that there will be some sort of balance… and I am not forced in only doing dailies each day which will consume most of my play time.
But in wrath all the way to WoD you could only get a single peice of conquest gear once every 1 - 2 weeks. Since you could only cap conquest points enough for 1 peice of gear per week.
That’s right and I forgot about that. You’re right!
“We dont want to add PvP specific stats back into the game, because we dont want players to have to carry multiple gear sets in their bags.”
Laughs in 4 sets for raiding, mplus and arena, additional ones for healer and dps spec.
“Separate gear will create a big entry gate.”
Keks away in 160 hours of BG farm for trash set.
I cant even.
I will play both contents but still pls man separate the gear.
Tbh if you want to pvp at a good level right now unfortunately you need to have no job or family.
Except streamer I have no idea who can put a insane amount of hours to get a ‘’ correct’’ gear to play. Sad.
Ngl its pretty disingenuous to compare the amount of PvP gear with PvE gear when PvE has multiple different gearing avenues like raiding, m+, professions and even stuff like visions or torghast whereas pvp only has the rated arena/rbg vendor so obviously pve will have more pieces with more stat combinations.
But with that being said if blizzard leaves the stats as is with versa essentially being a pvp stat and crit being useless for 95% of specs they should put versa on every pvp piece and no pvp piece should ever have crit on it.
If it was a minigame, we wouldn’t have AWC
Its a shadow of what it was.
The view numbers are extremly low - wow streamers generate more views while AWC is live.
But they also lost viewers swapping to youtube. Some people refuse to watch it on youtube and well, its just not as good
True. Im against the Twitch monopoly but man youtube streams feels weird.
PVP gear requires 6 days of nonstop, no sleep PVP to be worse geared than a normal mode raider.
Stats will be worse than m0 gear that takes 30 minutes to do per dung.
Not to mention PVE progression is already incredibly unfair even for PVEers with soulbind unlock order being different for every covernant.
Shadowlands beta arenas are actually a lot of fun, which is honestly the greatest tragedy of it all, gonna be a good expack ruined by progression once again.
There should be one different stat for PvP and PvE.
With same ilvl same stats, same offer of different stats. Than just add stat which make PVE sets viable only in PvE or add stat to PvP sets to just one shot guys in PvE gear.
It is not that hard cmon. . .

I loved this system, it meant that in arena you didn’t need to have the best setup, you could have a buddy and play arena for fun whilst still making a little progress with 1 gear piece a week and those that were competitive could get more gear, by increasing their CP. I absolutely loved that system, brings back fond memories too
Here’s a crazy thought, but how about ditching refail rated as a protest? They clearly don’t do anything based on what people say anymore. They just do things based on how people behave, meaning your actions speak much louder than words to them. (They think everyone is full of nonsense, is another way to put it.)
And here’s yet another crazy thought, since we all essentially do want to do arenas for real:
What about every rated player jumps over to burning crusade classic arenas? It’s not a certainty yet that burning crusade classic will be a thing (although I think it’s very likely), and it’s not a certainty that burning crusade will have rated pvp seasons like refail does.
But if enough people shows that’s what they prefer over refail’s PvEvP, then perhaps we’ll get 'em to change refail once and for all later on?
Who knows, they might even get rid of the overflow of passives at the same time?
And yeah, while burning crusade PvP will still have PvE gear mixed into it, at least that PvE is a lot more fun than the systematic approach to “player engagement” that has no soul like right now. But most importantly, it has an actual PvP stat (although it’s the worst PvP stat they ever used, but still better than nothing).
They honored the players request but not the spirit of it.
Already regret buying this game…

Besides the fact that TBC had its own share of issues and the grass may not be greener, I doubt it’s going to be released anytime soon.
I mean, The Gates of Ahn’Qiraj has to run its course, then Naxxramas, and then Blizzard may perhaps announce it and reveal a release date.
We’ll be well into Shadowlands by the time TBC would become available.
