How do i kill Algalon if all the groups require me to have already killed Algalon?

“warlock” … :man_facepalming:

i have way more experience than you i can assure you that but you being able to do it does not mean what we said was wrong. i’m sure you did not know anyone in that raid or did not show another char’s log to convince someone, i believe you lol

edit: also this is part of the toxic behaviour. these people will always try to rub something to your face rather than helping you in any way.

Well yeah, Algalon is an easy fight for DPS. You just zug and run into black holes to avoid big bang, that’s it. Theonly people the fight is a challenge for are healers, and the single person that gets assigned callapsing star duty.

Tanks have a relatively easy time too, they just have to juggle defensive cooldowns.

Do everyone get to compete in the superbowls? No, its simple. Some stuff in life are meant to be challenging.

Yes, make a game for 1% of the player, very smart.

Definitely adding an extra dollar for that one, chimpface.

Ulduar is accessible to everyone, that’s what normal mode is for. That’s literally why normal/hard were separated instead of continuing through TBC where if you can’t kill a boss, you’re screwed.

1502 dollars. I hope to god I never meet anybody as braindead as you IRL.

Nothing can magically solve all your issues. But if your issues are you can’t get invited to a PUG, that has no reason at all to invite someone inexperienced when they have experienced people waiting to join, if your issue is this then you kill two birds with one stone by joining a guild.

And all the excuses people come up with are just typical projected fears based on past experiences or just pure imagination. T

There are countless guilds out there looking for people to just help them fill the roster, guilds raiding on any day and almost any time if you play on a high pop server. Make a little effort, join a guild and reap the rewards, even if it doesn’t work out well hey you probably have the achievement and some new loot now, your chances of pugging got better.

People who refuse to guild but waste hours trying to get into pugs just bewilder me, a guild would solve so many problems if people would take some initiative instead of coming to the forums to moan about rejection and then making excuses because they are too scared to join a guild.

like i said, they will never understand all they want to do is use your issues to boost their low ego.
you want to do algalon and they’re suggesting you to join a guild that couldn’t even raid before

This is really the main problem here. My guild has all HMs down, and you would not believe how many barely naxx geared people with no history, no logs and no verifiable experience in anything would like to fill a core raider spot right away with their DK or other melee dps.

Guilds that are progressed will have options, if you can’t get into a guild that has everything on farm, find one that is still progressing.

If we want to gear someone we just bring them to Ulduar 25 and gear them there. The fresh 80 warlock that joined us 3 weeks ago is already at 4.9k. Heroic+ is an abject waste of time.

The thing is, you have to have something to offer a guild you’re joining. Some way of assuring that you won’t be a burden that has to be benched or unreliable.

Firefighter, Yogg 0 and arguably council are harder in 25, imo.

It can be challenging to find qualified and experienced players to fill core raider spots in a guild, especially if the guild is already progressed and looking for high-performing players.

One approach to addressing this challenge is to establish clear criteria and expectations for core raider positions, such as a minimum gear level, experience with specific encounters, and the ability to consistently perform at a high level. This can help ensure that only qualified and experienced players are considered for these positions.

Another approach is to focus on developing and nurturing talent within the guild. This could involve providing training and mentorship opportunities for less experienced players, or offering opportunities for players to step up into core raider positions over time as they demonstrate their skills and commitment.

Ultimately, it’s important for guilds to prioritize creating a positive and inclusive community that values teamwork, communication, and mutual support. This can help attract and retain skilled and dedicated players who share these values and are committed to helping the guild succeed

Considering the guilds aren’t looking for Paladins, much less ones that both lack experience in Ulduar and don’t have the working DPS spec (and yes if I swap to DPS from either my Holy or my Prot i will be arguably even worse than freshly dinged level 80 because I have absolutely no piece of DPS gear) I think I fall under “brings nothing but spare body” category. Not helped by working in shifts which guarantees I will not be able to play every other week.

Zero on Nethergarde Keep Horde looking for Paladins as far as I can tell.

Sounds like the game is just not accessible for you then. Only raiding every other week is going to be an extremely hard sell for any guild, so you’re basically reduced to pugs. Pugs that reliably kill hardmodes want people with multiclear experience of regulars, because that’s pretty much the only way to have a decent shot at a non frustrating run with HM kills.

True. Although Pugs that don’t do HMs also go through GS+Achi requirements so to this day I haven’t run a single Ulduar since as soon as I am honest and say it is my first run I get rejected

I disagree. “Drek or kek” is in no way magical, horde can never pull it off.

Then be stuck and never do anything. Spend some time to get in to raids or spend the entire Xpac without any raids. The choice is yours.

Algalon is hard in that way it requires geared tanks and decent healers. Everything else is easy with him.

The fights you mentioned require a lot more of personal situational awareness and a lot of ppl lack this and that is what makes those fights “hard”.

Content will be more easier with that ilvl lol. It makes no sense really.

First of all even dropping Prot or Holy (Prot is better geared though Holy posseses some pieces that were legitimately hard to get) doesn’t guarantee finding a guild as most of the ones I know about look for rDPS and not another Paladin.

And assuming I do so then let’s look at associated costs shall we? From very obvious stuff like BoEs Darkmoon Card: Greatness with Strength Modifier will require almost 9k Gold. 5-6k for Nobles deck although I’d need to get 4k gold in a week during which I work on second shift leaving only window between midnight and 2 A.M. 900g for Titansteel Destroyer since I’d need any weapon to even begin. SNR is another 2k gold unless I’m lucky enough for it to drop from UK of which I’ll need to be lucky enough for it to be on Heroic Daily since otherwise no dice on finding a group for it. 5k for Belt of the Titans btw.

Now onto the stuff I’d need to farm. 24 days of Daily Heroics+ in order to nab Tier Pieces from EoCs. With Emblems if Valor we’re also looking at whooping 77 Heroic dungeons ran in order to get all items from shop if we’re that averse of risk. If I somehow manage to score two heroic runs on top of daily it amounts to 26 days. Probably closer to 39 days though since again every other week my hours of playing are bot really lively. Oh wait there’s also 60 Emblems of Heroism at the very least needed… But let’s keep it at 40 days still. I’m sure there’s no need to get all items from EoVs.

And then there’s gear to get from Raids and HC+ themselves.

I can already scratch off anything that doesn’t drop from Saph, KT and other two which to be fair leaves very few actual upgrades that are not guaranteed to drop or get to me. Adding another 7 days for each and every unlucky run. And thus if I’m actually lucky we’re looking at over a month of Gearing with maybe 4,3-4,4k GS at the end of it. If I’m not lucky then that GS will be lower. Hot take for any guild that doesn’t look for that anyway.

So let me get this straight. You are playing the two most overpowered specs in the game, are still not able to find groups and your idea to change that is to switch to ret out of all things.

This forum really writes some comedy gold.
