When Blizz held the 50% Store sale over the Xmas holidays, I bought a Token with some WoW Gold I had, and bought myself the Squeakers mount.
I rode around on it for about a week, it was a really fun ride! But after a while, it started to feel dirty and found myself removing it from my favourites and riding around on mounts that I had spent time working towards and earning. It really does feel 100x better riding a mount that you Earned.
It was a double win for Blizzard really. I had earnt the Gold by crafting and selling legendaries, which at the time were so over priced, people were buying WoW tokens for the gold to buy them. Then I took that gold and turning it into a WowToken (which someone else paid for) and spent it on a store mount (instead of game time). So essentially, Blizzard sold 2 WoWtokens, and I got a £9.99 mount.
You insulted me last night and told me you placed me on ignore very strange you respond to me now after you call people
Comedians
Deluded
Simple minded
Sad community
All very cheap and low insults .
Thing is i was polite to you and warranted no attacks until you went as always personal because i called you out about lying about mounts meant to be dropping from raid when you had no facts .
How are we being milked? Is the buying of these mounts mandatory? Let’s use the grocery store example again. Do you go into a store and lodge a complaint because they are charging too much for apples? Or do you simply not buy them?
It’s clearly a successful business venture because people buy them. They wouldn’t waste time or resource in designing and implementing these mounts within the game if they didn’t make money for it.
What exactly is the point of this entire thread? Do you think Blizzard are going to see this and think, OMG, what have we been doing here? We’ve provided an optional mount for people to buy if they wish, but that was a mistake all along? Quick, get the board of directors in, we have some major changes to make!!!
It serves nothing. Blizzard is a business. It needs to make a profit. The more profit it makes, the longer the game stays around. The more staff it can employ. If they decide they want to make more money? Is that a bad thing? Who doesn’t want to earn money? Do we all not constantly seek ways to try and get more money in life?
It’s not mandatory to buy these mounts. It’s completely optional. You don’t have to buy them.
Daily reminder you don’t hold any authority on these forums, and the way you are dragging out fights is also noticed, considering your post gets removed all the time whenever you engage yourself on the forums.
You should ask yourself why you’re allowed to post at this point.
Comedian isn’t an insult.
I don’t harass people over the course of other threads where I start drama everywhere. I keep to my own threads.
Never said I was.
You’re paying to play and rent a product, and on top of that Blizzard is charging you something contained within your product you are actively paying to play for right back at you for another charge of money.
You’re not paying to rent a product though. You’re paying for access to Blizzard’s servers.
I pay finance on my car. The car company offers personal steering wheels at an extra cost, but isn’t included within the cost to borrow the car from them. Is the car company greedy because they’re not giving me the shiny new steering wheel for free?
You’re clearly bringing a lot to this debate, aren’t you?
I’m not going to sit and argue with you, because you are extremely toxic and take delight into pestering other people on the forums. But give proof or keep quiet about this behavior. Now go and scan through all my characters.
Because of my other argument in another thread of my own where all your posts were deleted even though I quoted them several times ofcourse. I can even link the topic.
You are paying rent to the product though? Do you think that you’ll be able to keep your characters if blizzard restricted your access to their servers? lol?
That’s not an insult.
Why? Because I use the orcish word for “lol”? Hmmhmm, sounds like you don’t have much arguments but can only go on personal attacks and grudges.
Dont like it? Then dont pay for it. Its that simple. You are in the end not someone in the position to dictate what people should or should not spent their money on. Also as i have said before:
The character was never yours. If I go to a fairground, where I have to pay to go in, I never own those rides. My payment covers my entry into the fairground, and partaking in the activities within the fairground, that’s it. It’s the same with Blizzard; you’re not renting your character, you’re paying for access into the World of Warcraft. If I then go to a certain section of the fairground, and it costs extra to go on those rides, I simply don’t ride them if I’m not willing to pay. If I have the money to pay, and the desire to ride them, I’d pay.
there is 3 for a start and all of them have posts attacking me and cross refernceing other thread need i go on ? you seem to have a person hatred of me standing up to you because i will not bow to your bullying ways .
Asmongold is that you ? Why do people complain about store mounts …
I love collecting things in wow Store mounts also count for collecting mounts achievments
I don’t really think it’s that simple in this case. Because store mounts indirectly influence the game for people who don’t buy them aswell. Since they are given lesser content than someone who buys the stuff with real life money.
There’s always the grind for wow tokens, but this isn’t a right currency or fair, because tokens raise and lower in price and aren’t very stable over long periods of time, where as a mount from a vendor never changes in price.
And ofcourse that the cost of these store mounts are quite expensive to grind gold for ontop, where as BfA maybe had 1 or 2 mounts that costed more than 100K gold. Besides the 5 million brutosaur one.
You could also argue the way Blizzard has released microtransactions has only doubled in one expansion setting. We got double the amount of store mounts in just one expansion, over the existing ones in previous expansions.
You could argue that Blizzard doesn’t need to put out much content. Which is why WQs and M+ will forever be repeatable shallow content. Because Blizzard makes enough money from people that buy store mounts.
You say to me, to quit and not dictate. I’m just trying to save a game from its innevatable doom that is being sped up rapidly because a few whales are all that’s gonna be left for playing the game in the end.
I’ve seen it happen with RuneScape, I now see the same thing happen to World of Warcraft.
Sorry but I refuse to engage in these mental gymnastics. You are comparing oranges with apples here.
Well from that thread alone that you made we can conclude that:
Huh what? Elaborate please. You’re not making much sense. You just linked a few of my characters but that doesn’t explain of me behaving toxic?
GASP how did you figure that one out, I was hiding my identity so well on that one.
Sorry, I just had to laugh at that part. Especially since they’re massively cutting off people these days and even closing offices in France and other parts of Europe.
The amount of mounts we get ingame severely outnumber the ones we get in the store from time to time. The Quilen having an counterpart. The incinerator, Dreamer, Alabaster, Vulpine, runesaber, skyreaver and nightmare having skeletal counterparts. Same can be said for the celestial steed, Starseeker, Shu-Zen, Fey Dragon and Lucky yun (technically also Hogrus and Squeakers) although they are at least “special” in one way or another.
Tokens rise if many people buy for gold but not enough for irl money and they drop in price if many buy for irl money but not as many for gold. So given the tokens have risen to currently 226k this means the amount of people buying tokens for irl money has dwindled.
2 Tokens each for all of them aside the Warforged Nightmare. That is currently 450k or before the rise around 380k. Nothing out of the ordinary. Compared to vendor mounts? Ye sure. Compared to some mounts that are being sold on the AH due to massive inflation of gold? Not so much. Remember that back in the days an epic mount for 1k gold was “woah!” or 5k gold for flying in TBC. Both of which nobody would even wipe their butt with anymore. Also if one bought tokens for the brutosaur then that person is already a lost cause because thats 500€ plus judging from BFA token prices. And if he was close to it already then said person knew how to make money to begin with.
Many mounts were also once china exclusive. Also as i said they are still nothing compared what we get ingame and most shop mounts, imo, are absolutely fugly.
Content has always been repeatable. M+ btw was born because people wanted to have dungeons remain attractive throughout the expansion (all of them) because they ceased to be of value for everyone pretty quick, including on alts. So they introduced Mythic in Draenor. Which was a bandage fix because one outgeared them just as fast. So they introduced M+, which does what it was intended to do and what was requested.
I said dont pay for it. Not quit. Major difference. If you want to speak a language they understand then speak with your wallet. Also store mounts are by far the least concern this game has.
