How do you find out what was innappropriate?

Must admit, I read that thread and cannot find anything worthy of being deemed inappropriate or whatever. As someone mentioned, probably a few people who disagreed with your views as its different to their own

No idea how it works for deleted posts. Mine was quoted to me in an email, but I couldn’t see what was wrong with it, so I asked if the offending section could be highlighted, but that’s when I got the "read CoC " part.

In my mind the CoC and subsequent moderation utterly fails as a form of reforming bad behaviour if you do not identify to the offender what they did that was offensive. This is a very simple principle in proper legal and social rules based settings

Can you imagine how ineffective the law would be as a deterrent if you never told the accused what they were guilty of? But merely quoted “you broke the law”. It beggars belief.

I get not going to such lengths for obvious flamebaiting or discrimination based content. That’s obvious. In my case I genuinely couldn’t identify the issue. No slurs used, no naming or targeting of other posters. All I can think of was it was within a topic that was heated in places and my contribution caused me to suffer collateral damage. The great irony was my post was calling out the kind of behaviour that is in violation of the CoC and telling people it has no place here.

I’ve been flagged for reason unknown before as well, didn’t even get an e-mail or a reply about which post it was. First one ever was for calling someone a muppet. Idk about anyone else but in England that’s like a non-insult name for someone being silly. Either way I learnt there’s a zero tolerance on -anything- so be really careful with how you word things. Just ironic how much stuff that actually deserves to be flagged and removed, doesn’t.

Anything that hurts the feelings of someone that’s willing to risk a forum suspension for flagging you on all of his alts. Once i was flagged for saying “talking to a wall might have better results than talking to you since you are not willing to listen either” or something like this, and got suspended for a day for “harassment”.

Blizzard left the forum moderation in the hands of the community, so most likely we will never get to know if we actually wrote something that’s against the ToS or we just offended someone.

I got flagged for saying i like torghast , so go wonder .
The report system in all their games is terrible by all means .

And I got flagged for kinda saying the opposite about it.

I kinda uninstalled HoTS some time ago for similar reason. For the sake of one game (I know because it was the only one I had that week) where 3 of us reported one another, the game sent me a mail warning me for pressumed afk report and to not do it etc just to get 2 more mails telling me that it took action against someone based on my reports. Thats like some in-game version of a Tarantino movie.

I do think it’s unhelpful if the comment that is removed is not shown in the message.

Part of the message that was removed is in the post below it though, you can see it quoted. However it’s only one tiny bit so I don’t know what the full message said.

Does it ring a bell as to what else it could have said? You’ll have to click on the link to see it.

There is a specific forum support section, you can ticket them to find out what was removed, do check if you got an email first.

Must be what’s happening. I got suspended for saying daze makes me angry, lol. That was inappropriate.

You used a swear word you can clearly see it in the screenshot so tell the whole truth . Its agaisnt the CoC .

Also posting it and talking about a ban is againt the CoC you are just asking for another ban showing the swear word and talking about the ban .

How is that even swearing? I translated a word for “very angry” in swedish to english.

The word starts with P look it up in English then you will know why .

And I don’t get how that’s swearing. Google tells me it translates to the same word “Förbannad”, which means very angry, that I used to translate it to that word.

The real annoying is, not the flagging but not to know, what in the god know how many post was the "wrong’ and what was removed
 its borderline impossible to track down your “crime” to learn from your mistake!
And the fact, all the Vulpera/Night elf/LGBT etc hater post are still around and kicking

I long gave up try to understand

Look up the english meaning of the word you used . It is a swear/slang word in UK and US English hence your ban .
