They now appear to have worked out how to make small menu changes based on realm type in classic (with the option to go self found hardcore on hardcore realm), so hopefully they will use the same or similar technique to bypass this hurdle
When we know theres classic, hc classic, wotlk classic and classic sod its the op’s fault if they assumed and really for Sod and hc realm transfers don’t make a lot of sense anyway and I don’t know a wow player who wouldn’t question it to begin with especially with it bein an entire new mode.
Sod is 40 levels and its really not that hard even if you play casual and really the shop should be last resort for this kind of stuff.
Paid character transfers didn’t hit start till 2006 and there were limitations based on character level, gold and items ect, maybe this is a way blizzard is avoiding and preventing rmt and a lot of you who would complain about that spoiling the leveling experience and economy are in Op’s corner.
So I’ll reiterate my advice make alt on that server and level it , work for it like the rest of the people on that server had too. If you wand advice about fraud this is not the place for it .
This in the literal sense is not true, open the in game shop through the main menu and you’ll see.
You can however hover over the 3 different paid transfers that are offered, you will see a tooltip on each of them, they say that certain restrictions apply (no details though). Then you can follow the option to shift-left click any of the offered transfers and you’ll get on a web page where finally it says UNDER CLASSIC that SoD characters can not move to or from a seasonal realm.
If the GM really refused to give a refund then he’s acting against the law of several countries, i even think it’s in the EU law, if you offer, get paid but can’t deliver then you are bound to refund. This GM was in error and the OP should reopen the ticket, get someone else to look at it.
A employer was willing to take me to court over £20. Seriously.
It’s ok for a company to be a tyrant and walk all over us, but as soon as a opportunity arises people try and down play it. Like you.
Ok, Blizzard employee number 2.
That guy told what happened to him, it can be true or not.
This is not the official way to handle things like this one, I guess you can understand that.
There is nothing wrong with my expertise, but what comes to you I recommend you to get a job.
You won’t get paid here.
Your reply revealed that your social skills are bad, and you straightly start attacking me without any reason.
You claim 20 years in customer service, but dont grasp the fact that people lie.
He told us one thing, doesnt mean its true, but you instantly jumped to the conclusion that blizzard did something against the law.
Either the guy is lying, or the blizz employee made a mistake, cause blizz does give refunds for these things as long as the product bought have not been used.
People lie all the time, that is a fact.
But why you assume that he is lying about his issue at the first place?
You don’t know the truth, I don’t know the truth, this whole community doesn’t know the truth, because only he knows the truth.
He made a topic about his issue, and I was polite when I answered to him and tried to help him.
Do we have a problem Roxym?
I never said he was lying, however it is highly probable that he is, since blizzards policy is to give refunds for these things.
if i really need to quote myself
You however ran directly for the “big company bad” for not giving the customer money back, when you have no knowledge of the truth, and then you procede to call everyone that pointed out that fact for blizzard employees.
I assume that there is something more than the OP is telling us. Blizzard should refund it if they bought it a few days ago and never used it. Even if they bought a few and never used any it should be refunded.
But if they bought one and used it in Era then want their money back or bought more than one and only used one in Era they they won’t get their money back.
Which is why I asked the OP to post the ticket body so we can see. They never did though and that makes me suspicious.
Well… You typed like that, and you are assuming like that way, but now you are saying that you never said he was lying.
That is very weird, and confusing way of approaching OP’s issue.
Blizzard is big and wealthy company, and that creates some problems too.
Blizzard is not famous about the world class customer service.
Don’t trust too much and be way too much blue-eyed with companies.
And keep in your mind that this is not my issue, it’s OP’s issue.
MVP means either a Blizzard employee in disguise or a shill probably being paid to swamp the forums 24/7 to defend them.
Nothing new there.
Either way it should not be in the store page when you are playing SoD.
Very poor game management on the company’s behalf.
Also, we all know from personal experience that most of the tickets are getting automated responses from an AI program and usually the answers to the tickets are totally irrelevant to what the customer wrote. So I assume he got an automated “no” reply from AI as it scanned the words “refund” “character transfer” without any human actually looking into what he wrote.
Probably if he escalates it he can get a refund, but still very disgusting customer service.
That’s really a fault on their end then and should be fixed.
And to OP, while doing a charge back via your bank certainly would get the funds back.
Be aware that any and all charge backs WILL get your account perma-banned. And not just the WoW one, the entire b.net and all game accounts on that.
???
In the post you just replied to, i even quoted myself from my previous message where i said he is either lying, or the GM made a mistake. This now my 3rd post where i say those exact words.
Do you have a reading disorder?
Now I have only five words for you.
Go back to Mario Kart.
