How often do you see this on lfg

Warrior players looking for tank. Or DPS LFG for x and its another brown player. Or when you’re looking for 3 more players tank + 2 dps, you get whispered by yet another brown “dps here”.
I always tank If my class allows it. Druid, pala, shaman, warrior and even warlock for lower level dungeons.
Why browns hate tanking? Its the best class for it. Its super easy to create party as tank or join as tank and you can pick classes to avoid loot competition

Whaddayou mean bro? What is a brown player?
So my reply is of course: Never.

Yes. It´s mind boggling why some warriors wont tank. I play HC and sometimes i see a brown boy looking for a tank for like a solid hour or so. It´s crazy.

Because there are warriors who don’t enjoy tanking perhaps?

No offense to any parties.

  • Not everyone needs to play his class fully. After all this is an RPG game mainly. Maybe he is enjoying pure berserker lore
  • They are also inflexible players and will reap what they sow. They will compete with other half of the server for gear, raid spot etc.

I am saying these as someone who seriously tanked undead dungeons with paladin tank. It is great fun to play your class to full capability, but not everyone.

It is the class color for warrior

Its because the community treat tanks as trash. Its the biggest self-fullfilling prophecy. Treat tanks as trash = less tanks.

Enjoy!

Because it’s more difficult in classic and most of them can’t handle it, especially if the rest of the group wants to play it like it’s retail - zugzug, no CC, aoe everything or each dps nukes a different mob. They simply don’t have the toolkit to handle that in classic.

The stance dance is also annoying for most of them, but at the same time it’s necessary, as a lot of their abilities only work in a certain stance. So at some point they just go “nah”.

Because tanking in classic is the most boring stuff ever?

Mind boggling?..Really?..How do you survive real life?

Its cringeworthy to see warriors who rather spend 2 hours looking for tank than turn that defstance on and do it themselves. Like bro you are playing a warrior, best tank in the game, just do your damn job. If you want to be “pure dps” so much then play a rogue or something

I disagree. You actually need to work to establish threat whereas in later versions of wow you just press one button and that´s it.

U mean dps on purpose having to delay dmg which makes the “fight” so called harder. Besides everything in classic is easy and yeah warrior tanking and druid tanking is just boring in classic.

They pay their sub same as you. I don’t understand why people have a problem with Arms / Fury Warriors that don’t want to tank but are fine with Hunters, Mages and Rogues existing. If that person took your advice and played a Rogue the only thing that changes is their possible enjoyment of the game, literally zero impact on you or anybody else…?

Warrior tanking is very stressful, especially at low levels. As dps you just chill and hit. Tanking as druid is easy though.

That’s why most warriors I have seen tank with 2handers. They put all the stress on healers(those who are not even healer specs - and i always level as healer and get rejected because they already have shadow priest or enhancement healing) while themselves they chill.

It´s stressfull if your dps just does not care about anything. And Arms tanking is very valid and by no means puts a bigger strain on the healer.
The fact remains that people who refuse to tank low level dungeons are straight up griefing the group. Max level dungeons are a different story of course.

For a group, warrior tanking with a shield is extremely slow. “Wait for me to get some rage” and stuff. Especially at low levels when warrior does not have many spells.

Later, taking warrior in a dungeon is alltogether a liability as they provide no meaningful buffs apart from battle shout. It is ok as a tank but as dps, basically we are not doing well if we have 2 warriors in group. That means we are missing mark of the wild and some other buffs, or ability to sap a target.

In any case, in recent years, most warrior tanks I have seen were 2h arms spec. Not many equip shields.

I´m not sure why you suddenly bring the use of a shield into this. Nobody said anything about using a shield.

Low level classic dungeons do basically have zero requirements when it comes to classes to bring.
Warriors are great. Arms can just plow everything down and fury is great too.

Well, I guess that’s a new topic altogether. But I always felt it was wrong that warriors could tank(albeit with serious stress on healers) with 2handers.

But that’s logical, those dungeons were created in 1.1 patch and now warriors are tanking with 1.12 talents, so everything is easier.

And yes, tanking with 2h is fun and I don’t understand why some warriors refuse it.
