You 2 are really butthurt or ?
Since WoW originally targeted the working adults, prob when they made the system, there werent many people out there, who could play 24/7 (even make living, or live in mommy basement) and prob didnt ever dream that some people could be rly that tryhard.
Calling the system toxic because some player doing x other way (let it be legal or not) than you, is not automatically “toxic and sucks”.
Ranking takes so many weeks and so much gameplay loop that whatever was required, rankers would get bored anyway. It’s not AV specifically.
I said the system promotes toxicity, which it does.
I called the system garbage, which it is. It doesn’t hold up with how people play MMOs in this current age.
I find it interesting that the system would target working adults, yet the rewards come to whoever can spend the most amount of time in the game with skill or ability playing precisely zero factor.
I mean sure, but ranking via world pvp was far more interesting, enjoyable and dynamic (at least on the relatively balanced servers).
Ranking via WSG would also be far more enjoyable than: Galv + lieuts → IB + lieuts → Rush RH → kill horde → Exploit Drek pull & win. Repeat for 10h+
Yup, there’s no point in delaying a match for alliance AV.
It’s better honor per hour, if you lose within 10 minutes than have a 30 minute match.
That’s the issue with instant queues XD.
Is good for Alliance, not for horde.
for Horde is around 2k honor+20 min queue.
Winning for the Horde means around 5k-9k honor per a 20 min game.Makes more sense to Horde to turtle. You win more honor.
Still stand on Iceblood Graveyard, bottleneck them to death.
So fellow hordes start using often your Frostwolf insignia.Alliance gets screwed and for us,we get more honor.
To be honest this is getting highly annoying. People who keep spamming Nochanges are probably so traumatized they are afraid that Blizz will make the wrong changes. While there is obviously something to be said for, this #nochanges movement apparently doesnt realize that this is a totally different game than in 2005. People play it totally different and sometimes changes are needed to make the game function better again. This is also what loads of popular private servers have done (some better than others), and in general those changes were highly appriciated by the most hardcore Vanilla fans.
We are talking about 15 years old game, how it should be work in current age?
If it does, then it should be called vanilla 2.0 or something else.
I dont think the system promotes toxic behavior, most people toxic even without this.
You are not wrong, but the knowledge of today and/or how easy it is to get these information today made it much more apparent how bad Classic was designed.
It was inevitable that this would happen without changes.
This wasn’t the way it was in vanilla. I played back then. This version of AV was also introduced shortly before people could buy R14 gear from vendors without being R14. Anybody that says #nochanges did not play vanilla or PvP’d. Are you advocating for that?
Most rankers in vanilla rotated based upon what the bonus honor was for the weekend, btw. WSG/AB/AV.
Nor does it change the fact that they have already made changes to classic WoW. They patched XP from torch runs, for example.
Fix this already. This is bringing about a meta where horde cannot pvp with friends if they intend to rank, and one where pvp is absolutely awful. Queuing 10+ hours into premade alliance while not being able to have the chance to play with friends wasn’t part of vanilla.
