In my opinion, one of the most annoying part of the game right now is the spam of boost selling. It killed the trade chat and it does the same to the group finder. I think that the solution is right in front of our eyes, make dedicated official channels in both group finder and in chat (with the option to opt out) and increase the severity of the ban for those that still continue to spam outside of the offered options. I tried with countless of add-ons to stop the spam but with no result. So please consider this Blizz
They are selling a service on trade so there is nothing wrong with boost selling spam.
i would also very much appreciate a dedicated channel/tool for boosters, so that those who want to buy boost, and seek them out there, and leave the rest of us out of it.
It’s so much of it that it drowns everything else, and it should have a dedicated channel.
Problem is the boosters won’t leave trade as they need to get to as large an audience as possible, so in the end all that will be achieved is two channels full of spam.
This is a topic we see regularly and for some reason people keep starting new discussions instead of joining in existing ones. This just leads to everyone repeating both sides of the argument.

They won’t be in trade if they have their own selling channel which people can leave, while keeping other trades in trade.
I have had to leave every single public channel because of it, and I hate it, but it’s my only option.
Pretty sure we got a Trade channel to keeping trading out of /General, so why can’t this be done to boosting too? It’s taken over trade completely, pushing everything else out of the channel.
The easiest solution to all that spam, is simple indeed.
Move trade chat away from general so that you’d never see it.
And report anyone who makes an advertisement in group finder.
Problem solved.
No one uses trade chat anyways. You want something, use AH. We got enough undercutting available to make everything you want to buy, cheaper than normal.
I wish mods would just lock these new threads and redirect people to existing discussions…
Yeah they will, unless they actually get punished for spamming trade they will spam trade.
That is so overcomplicated. Just put things like the AotC achievement, m+ gear and rare mounts directly into the shop. It’s the same result, but this entire charade with people buying tokens, changing them to gold, giving that gold to other players to then being carried through an instance to then get that reward would finally end. And we would need no more policing of chat channels or the lfg tool, and all the real money sellers would finally be put out of business. it’s a win-win all around.
They have the power to merge and I honestly think it would benefit from being one big visible topic. However we have no practical way to report topics to be merged with others.
These people spend too much time sat in main cities if this bugs them that much.
Or something like a “completion token” that has a chance to drop when you fulfill the requirements that you can sell on the AH.
But there is a problem with spam though.
Its fine to promote boosts as blizzard allows it, but doing it from different accounts at the same time, making everything else unreadable, its not fine.
There’s more than one person doing it.
Blizzard doesn’t want anything regarding boosting as official. They don’t want to moderate it, they don’t want to act as if they’re supporting it and they most certainly don’t want even more accusations of “pay2win”.
I agree, the easiest and best solution would be something along those lines, but it’s not going to happen.
Lol seriously? They will want to get to as many people as possible, so yes they will be in trade just as much as now.
I just don’t think Blizzard going to say some trades are more equal than others and divide them up into rules.
Boosting is a trade, I’m quite happy for them to be in the trade channel. They are not permitted in the dungeon tool and I report them daily. I wish Blizz would smack them with a harsher punishment for rule breaking though.
Trade channel made for ingame goods trading (or to find x player with y profession to trade), not ingame boost services for z content.
Def not made to see this clownfiesta.
Everyday i check it and see the very same people advertise on it, so reports not much of use.
