Shocking that people are advertising boosts in trade. That thing that is a trade, your gold for their time.

I think it would be shocking if they were trading and not repeatedly spamming this stuff that makes no sense. I mean it’s the first thing I see when I enter a city and it doesn’t stop.
There’s a difference between ‘trade’ and ‘advertising spam’.
one is like one message by one person, the other is repeated message constantly over and over again. usually by bots or level 1 alts
put one on ignore, ten more rise to take their place.

Why don’t people understand we are past the days of

We have a good AH system that handles all of that.

Trade is literally for player made services, has been for a long time. If you’re not interested then turn trade off.

If you want to ignore the ads then you get the addon badboy and the plug in cc cleaner and you block phrases.

I kinda am more curious about why it’s like this. It was never as much advertising as before.

Is it all because of the tokens and ppl are getting wealthier?

I am personally not against it, but I dont promote it either. Imo there should he a other way people get their advertisement done because like this its aggravating to some.

I don’t want us to have to put a filter on our chats
 sometimes I see a conversation going on and it’s quite interesting but then someone will say something and it;ll be odd like they are replying to a message that wasn’t there. so I assume it’s been filtered but it’s most likely whatever it filtered wasn’t actually spam.

It’s useful if my only priority is hiding annoying messages and I don’t care about seeing non annoying messages. but then
 if I was that sort of person, I would probably turn off the channel altogether and live as a pariah.
I don’t want to be devoid of chat and filtering based on words alone, causes problems. The ideal answer is to reduce the source of the problem.

as Furreal alluded to, there is a reason why it’s getting so bad and surely something needs to be done about that

Otherwise we’ll all end up ignoring each other and only have fractured conversations that make no sense.

 I believe it’s a simple matter of; The reward is more appealing than the process.
People don’t want to play the game, they just want the Jaina Mount of whatever else it is that drops in these places.
Lord knows, if there was some way I could pay money to ‘boost’ myself to 750 7th legion service medals, I would have done so long ago. The game is far too painful to do stuff in. I shouldn’t have to grind the same damn stuff for 7 weeks to get a mount that fits my character story arc.
