40s been in the “adult life” since 18 like most people who didn’t migrate from teen bedroom to parents basement /laugh

it is a strange world we live in that’s for sure.
being able to spot it is a blessing… you do kind of feel bad though as the said person gradually get more and more frustrated and desperate because you dont give them the attention they are so used to.
i will add i have known of and known plenty of top notch females over the years… im not putting them all in the same box here…
i got nothing against any gender. but i will not be taken for a ride 
I’m over meeting partners on WoW (okay, I’m over meeting people in general but you know) They inevitably lived too far away and quit WoW and I ended up realising that WoW was really only what we had in common.
Still, Sweden was nice.

it is a risk tbh… to do it… sometimes it can work out … but there is a lot of potential bumps in that road which need to be flattened as you go lol…
i personally never dated a girl on a video game myself… i always tend to like to meet my potential partners in the flesh from day one.
personal choice though but i fully understand why people would want to try it.
I know several successful marriages as a result of an in game romance, however there are also plenty that never work out. Online isn’t some magic that makes it more or less likely for a relationship to succeed. It often requires someone to move, sometimes to a different country or even continent.

there is also added problems now too like the pandemic and lockdowns…
there is a lot of walls to climb to make that kind of relationship successful right now…
it just makes you respect the people who are successful at it even more.
I can’t imagine having to do anything long distance in this current climate.
It also seemed to put a lot of strain on some existing relationships, many friends have complained about their other half always being home.

One of my friends met their partner via online gaming, they were together just over 10 years, living together 8 years. In the end they just grew apart but they were kinda young when they got together and probably would have had the same ending if they had met any other way. They are still friendly though.
It can work. In my opinion it’s always a case of not looking for it and if it happens it happens whether its online in a game or in a supermarket or a nightclub it all has the same chance of lasting 6 months or 60 years. If two people are meant to be they will be.

yup i heard and seen it too … my brother relationship fell apart a few months back after 15 years because of lockdowns… they were trapped together too long it seems lol…
my good online friend is struggling with his online girlfriend because she is desperate to see him … but he is determined to follow guidelines of the pandemic over risking her safety for the sake of meeting up…
it’s just strange times now … i think if you were in a relationship before this started… and it is still intact now after countless lockdowns etc…
it’s a keeper get a ring on that person . lol
pretty much my mantra towards it…
if its meant to be it will be…
people laugh when you tell them “dont go looking for it and trying too hard”… but it really is true and good advice.
