I don’t care about your DPS, I care about utility. I can kill people with blue weapons. How do you handle yourself vs a frost mage (Pvp specked) Or a warrior which you HAVE to keep stunlocked or you die?
Take this for example, you stunlock the orc warrior and he resists, what do you do? Well, simple, you don’t stunlock them you ambush them then gouge (Gouge does not count as a stun) Then you go into stealth and sap them. Then you ambush again when you know for sure the diminshing return is gone.
And if they somehow is immune to gouge or it have to few sec you blind and then go back into stealth after a sap and ambush them to make sure they die. I don’t care how much dps you do. That is pve.
In short yes.
I’m ranking so obviously I’m mostly arms now,but for BWL i respec once a week from now on.
Ask your guild to spread the raids, for instance this week we do BWL on sunday, next week on wednesday again so I stay fury untill then. The raid after wed will be on next weeks sunday. That’s 10days as arms again.
So yes it’s 50g a week just for the respec.
frost mage i can deal with cause I can usually 2k crit them with ambush, and if they ice block u just spam backstab, the batching system used here means that ur backstab will always hit them. vs warrior its much harder, but I personally do ambush > gouge > gnomish death ray > stun/evis or run away vs them
dps I linked was in pvp btw vs a cold blood hemo rogue
I don’t disagree, that’s why I don’t pick fights with warriors when im in a seal fate build, not 1vs1 at least.
if u want a build that does both pve and pvp u have to accept that u have to pick ur targets well, u cant kill everyone
funny thing is, im currently also ranking with my pve build atm, will respect to pvp spec when I hit rank 10-11 tho (rank 8 now)
if I open on the rogue first, he cant do anything no matter his spec, because he is dead by the time my combo ends. orc rogues different story tho, u need to actually use all the tools available to u to kill them with pve spec
edit: original point remains tho, if u don’t wanna constantly spend money on respecs and u wanna buy fun stuff like the darkmoon deck, u should find a build that does both, like seal fate dag build
if they are orc warlocks I insta assume they are soul link and I don’t 1vs1 them, if they are undead I will use cheap shot into kidney and finish off with gouge + deathray
u use trink if they use succubus, but I usually try to hold on to it for their fear. most warlock I see use felhunter tho, which usually means ez kill
its all about picking the correct targets and not doing Rambo 1vs1 with ppl u are not sure u can fight if u do a build that’s for pve and pvp
oh, ok, well on my server they usually have succubus so, no easy kill. And they just re seduce you for 4 more sec, then your toast.
The hardcore retarded guilds are going to enforce you to use combat up to adrenaline to get as much dps in pve as possible, so you will either have to respec or suck in pvp. That’s classic.
yea im not joining a hardcore guild. I prefer my semicasual guild, where im fully allowed to experiment with whatever build I want if im doing at least 70% of the dps that my top dps is doing
we haven’t had any issues with this policy so far, but we are going pve specs for bwl, from which we got 3 choices, combat sword, combat dag, and seal fate dag build ( seal fate has no aoe, so u will be behind in dmg compared to the rest of the rogues, but u can still do similar and potentially higher dps in boss fights than them)
Alright, well I agree on that point. However, it will show up harder and harder raids and you will see what I mean. You either stay with the easier raids or become weak as "¤#% in pvp.
also, my seal fate build gets better and better over time, its actually bis dps spec in vanilla by the time u get aq 40 gear, its just subpar now because u need close to 30% crit to make it optimal
edit: and my crit atm is only 23% unbuffed, if I have full buffs and feral druid in group I can outdps combat spec rogues even now
I was seal fate up till today, I did my respect for bwl tomorrow. really fun build, highly recommended for pvp/pve. only reason I went out of it is that we are gonna do bwl with 34 ppl, and we need all the dps we can get out of everyone and our feral dps druid is not coming
seal fate build u see in guides also doesn’t have improved evisc and has points into improved poisons that are mostly useless atm, tweak it a bit

this is what I used
if u fighting rogues, just pop the st rogue quest boots on, and there u go, its like having 5/5 master of deception
edit: feel free to swap some points around, for example I had 3/5 on hit talent cause im hitcapped as is, also vigor can be dropped as well, but I find it really useful to have
