Translation: They don’t want you to play only PvP. Thes want you to do only dungeons and raids.
Again pve and pve are types of content, you cannot list different types of pve as different when they’re both classed as pve. No one is specifically saying which parts of pve and pvp, Jesus Christ…
Here are the conduits and their locations according to the dungeon journal and wowhead,
eg, Debilitating Malady - Potency conduit - Location, Executor Tarvold Sanguine Depths
And so on…
The only other way to get conduits is through ‘Ve’nari’ in the maw with 1900 stygia where you get a random conduit, but it costs alot and theres too many other necessary items you need to buy for stygia so buying conduits with stygia is by far the longest and most inneficiant way.
Anymore lies you want to tell people?
For some reason, 100% of Ancelyn’s gear was earned through M+ only, and is optimal for PvP.
Weird.
Ion Hazzikostas character
Then why are they creating covenants where one is good for PvP and is handicap for PvE and this praised Pelagos that sucks on most specs in PvP that only few specs want it. So far Boomy and Arms.
1750, hasn’t moved since 2009. Disgraceful.
5th level of honor.
I can tell you what’s the case. PvE players think that the only reason they died to PvP player was gear with resilience that benefited PvP player where 9/10 cases they got outplayed pressing every dmg cd trying to go through all defensives and wasting all their dmg.
Ion decided to give PvE players advantage introducing PvE trinkets that suck in PvE but are good for bursting players in PvP like Claw or Drest. They are ofc on the first few raid bosses so PvE players can compensate their lack of PvP knowledge with raw advantage. BFA is the only expansion where you can play well and your oponent can make mistake after mistake and still win because of broken items.
What is the point of ladder and titles then? Also how are you supposed to play this game and get both glad and clear mythic raid when there are such things like covenants who are made to make sure you can’t optimalize for both. If you choose good PvP covenant 9/10 times you are handicapped in PvP. Good example is Venthyr for Shadow - must have in PvP and garbage in PvE.
Also Raiding mythic and getting glad are two completely separate set of skills. Imo shared gear might even work to certain point let’s say till Mythic Raid and 2000 rating but then to be good at what you choose you need to focus on one. Instead what happens is dozens of PvP players pay rl money and gold to get precious Mythic raid items so they can have chance to push rank 1 and as revenge they boost raiders. Unless you are a streamer or under org there is no chance you can play 10-12 hours a day and do both.
Optimal requires blood of the enemy and conflict and strife… which both require PvP.
And also
You don’t need to do both m+ and raids… you can just do one realistically…
And no, lots of m+ players don’t wanna raid yet forced to raid to remain competitive.
And the likelyhood is they don’t enforce too much in PvP purely because… you can’t win proof the PvP aspect of the game.
PvE is designed for the player to win… which makes it accessible to everyone.
PvP is very much not, therefore not accessible to everyone.
They’ve gone to several lengths to ensure there isn’t a chance for the player to lose which is why they don’t promote PvP.
Not to mention.
In mop with the legendary cloak that required pvp, pvpers were raging about the fact they had PvE players in their games because they were effectively dooming your chances of winning.
Same with children’s week, pvpers get mad.
Why would you want a bad PvE player in your games PvE is built to be won you can be alot worse at the same and get through it then pvp. We would cost you games quite litterally if you pushed the entire PvE casual playerbase into your games.
We aren’t forced into PvP because you guys don’t want PvE players in your content.
We don’t care about having PvP players in our content cause they’re generally better at the game then Ur average PvE player
They did try involving PvP in Pve gearing through legendary quests and more, but everyone was in uproar. PvErs didn’t wanna pvp and PvP players didn’t want us there.
I would force them to do FISHING for 6 hours straight
Imagine if you could grind fishing for gear process
You could make PvP fishing too where u fight over terrority
And we could unite in mythic gear via fishing!
Or blizzard could just put Gear back on vendors and simply have mythic ilevel gear buyable after a certain rank like they used to 🤷🤷
I’m pretty certain if you pushed the PvE playerbase into PvP the PvP playerbase would get mad fairly quickly, like litterally it will ruin PvP games
Force them to main survival in any heavy AOE situation and see how they like it (:
PvP players that wear 80% of PvE items complain that gearing sucks and they have to play both PvP and PvE.
PvE player with not a single PvP item and not even step into arena achievment “It’s fine. I like that everyone has to do every content to be geared. It’s fine WoW is not only PvP game”. He only plays bgs where he can’t get a single item upgrade. What an irony.
I don’t think eithers fine.
However PvP players wanting to play PvP with PvE players is a new one. U guys went mental when mop cloak quest pushed all the PvErs into your games.
I’d fire them.
Any game designer not passionate about their own work that they’re forced into playing it shouldn’t be on it.
It’s like a chef not wanting to taste their own cooking.
To be fair, he’s not the PVP guy.
If Holinka’s character was 1750 from 2009 it would be disgraceful.
Problem is they’ve gutted the team working on the game so far now. They need to to re-expand the team and stop trying to increase profits at the cost of the games quality.
There are more ways they can keep PvP approachable while upholding a core progression route in PvP. They just haven’t been creative enough with it
I wonder if any of the devs plays 2h frost. Probably not.
If I ran a multibillion dollar game company and I’d have to force developers / designers to play the game they develop/design, I would probably fire them. What the heck happened to passion? Where is the love of making great games, cool stuff, something that players respect?
I get it, this thread is about PvP and my solution for that as an owner of a multibillion dollar game company would be to hire a team to focus on PvP aspect of the game!
“we want the game to feel like an rpg”
-puts in world quests with no meaning and no feel of an rpg whats so ever and we also micromanage everything for fairness
blizzard since 2014
And that’d be fine if his job was just to design the PvE side of the game.
That’s not the case. His decisions impact PvP.
His roots are encounter design. Now he is game director, which means he directs. A good director appoints people to specific areas and listens to them.
For example… imagine if a Government leader listened to the head of each department. Said leader doesn’t need to be a doctor and to practice surgery in order to listen to the head of medicine.
Ion doesn’t have to be a top active arena player to listen to his PVP team.
Besides, perhaps he does PVP. We only know about his Shaman. If I was Ion there’s no way I’d do PVP on my known character, that community is toxic enough.
