This morning we got the amazing new that Hunter Mark is now a spell that reveal target only 
!
That mean your damage is not nerfed by 5 % when it come to AoE
And for PvP see your burst dealing - 5% less damage because of a dispell.
And in M+ pressing for each target Hunter Mark that is on GCD
A great victory for all !

This is NOT what I wanted.
Talking for the majority of us…it’s a welcome change for many.
im free to be tuned like a normal dps specc without devs considering a funny 5% dmg different because of. a funny button.
BM hunter is not tuned at all, im ilvl 472 doing max 25k in Arena with all my cooldowns up, how is that tuned exactly? when DH does 32k without cooldowns at all.
This game is not tuned, especially for BM hunters.
And if I try to dps a holy pala, I only do 11-14k dps because its plate.
Yeah you heard right, 14k.

472 in Shadowlands? I’m talking about PTR/Beta tuning now without HM.
I don’t care to argue about live since it’s a mess.
Just glad they won’t consider HM ever when it comes to tuning abilities for MM, Surv or BM.

Indeed. However, I don’t understand why they didn’t just revert it to Classic HM. Would at least have given us some utility.
So, first you are unhappy with the fact that one ability that would be HURTING our damage was changed to not hurt our damage anymore, and then right afterwards you compalin that BM Hunter is not doing enough damage. Are you aware of the contradiction or are you complaining just for the sake of complaining?
HM with that extra 5% dmg, while being on a cooldown was a problem, it is much better off without the dmg component as it allows for our overall dmg to be buffed instead of being gimped by 5%…
I didn’t read anywhere that they buff our overall damage instead…
Shadowlands is still far from being released, until then dmg might be increased.
If your hope for better dmg were on that 5% on a cooldown for single target, it was misplaced…
There’s a reason why most of the Hunters were against it, it was bad that’s it.
Let’s see what happens from now on, but whatever happens making HM as it is right now was a step in the right direction.
Yes after BFA BM (arena damage-wise) frustration, for sure I wanna see improvement in SL.
because that’s the only spec I enjoy, I tried everything.
DH and Rogue are OP and viable but not as fun.
But playing BM was frustration in arena, even when I played really skillful, I couldn’t get past 1800 because the damage was way too low, healers were laughing and leaving the group one after another
Well, I don’t know if that’s still the case, but BM used to be meant to be the leveling spec, if that remains true I’m not surprised it falls behind other specs/classes, but I don’t play BM so I don’t know much about it’s current state. Nonetheless I digress, and that’s not an excuse for it to feel weak.
I understand your frustration, but I think it’s too soon to expect the worse when we are still far enough from release to draw proper conclusions on how it will perfom. Even after release there will still be tuning and changes, so my advice is to just take it easy and don’t let yourself get so much worked up over it.
I want to main SV, and I will regardless of what comes my way, even if I have to change to MM for content where SV might not be viable, but nonetheless if I can I will play SV in all content, and I’m not all worked up about it having recieved only little changes (some in the form of nerfs, Carve target cap pls Blizz wtf?..), because I know there is still time for improvements so we’ll see. Meanwhile we can, and should give feedback and express our thoughts on the matter, but no need to let it affect our mood I guess.
