No, by the logic presented which you erroneously are trying to refute, is that rankers prefers easy wins. Horde does get their easy wins in AV, because the Alliance got too many scrubs on average queuing for it ever since premades got mitigated, and too few of their rankers since they never believed they could win in AV as a pug.
Don’t straw man me, please.
Except they’d be the premades with most spots available while forming thus higher chance of getting into them, and it’s not like 40 man raids can’t form on realm discords and global chats, so the same can definitely happen for BGs.
Oh look, yet again claiming it can only have to do with the map… You see, if everything is caused by the map as the underlying reason, that people won’t try or won’t queue or whatever, it means you’re saying it’s always the map’s fault.
I’m sorry, but have you ever seen a map in any game produce a 98% win chance for 1 spawn on launch? To achieve that you have to be actively trying to make your battleground as imblanaced as possible. I mean sure the map probably is horde favoured, but there is more than 1 factor at play here
It doesn’t favor either side. It’s just asymmetrically balanced, meaning you get an advantage in one place while the opposing team gets a different advantage in another place. And they even matched the advantages pretty close.
The difference is that they never use those advantages.
What’s funny is that it’s “unthinkable” for the PvP to decide the BG in their minds. Even though it’s just their martyr complex talking.
Have you ever noticed how convenient it is for the map to be the cause of all their problems, and how it just so happens to absolve any and all personal responsibility?
Nobody likes to admit they’re causing their own downfall after all.
I’m not saying the map is 95%+ in favour of Horde. It is however imballanced to Horde’s favour which has over time lead to the situation we have right now.
Nah. It’s Horde favoured. In fact even many Horde say so. It’s just the few AV heroes who’s egos are too fragile to admit they aren’t winning due to being more skilled than their opponents that are still desperately clinging to these sort of claims.
Both yes and no. When I ranked we would switch to AV if the AB/WSG queue was long (~15min) and the AV queue was short (~45min).
In AV weekend Horde HAS to play AV too keep up with solo rankers, whereas Alliance rankers will still get more honor in WSG/AB
It’s actually over 99% win chance for Horde. I lost the last 114 games in a row. There were only a few games (maybe around 10) where we made it to Drek, but Horde was always faster and/or wiped us. It’s a shame that Blizzard seems to completely ignore Classic WoW. Broken BGs, broken premade vs random games, broken faction balance, dead servers, huge bot pandemic, gold sellers, unstable servers and the worst customer service you can imagine.
It’s been established that AV is actually biased against the Horde. When it comes to attacking the Alliance base, the geography gives an advantage to Alliance defense compared to the Horde base.
This is why Blizzard now makes all PvP maps identical on each side. Because every time they try and make the map more diverse and interesting, it creates imbalances.
While not a Classic topic, it reminds me of Isle of Conquest. I’m pretty sure that Horde start slightly closer to the Harbour as the few times I’ve done that BG in the past, Horde almost always got there first. Again, another BG that isn’t mirrored on each side.
