I don't want my sub money to go towards creating new store mounts

honestly do people realy think you sub goes to develope the game, maby a tiny bit but no way everything, there is so much more they use the money for, like salary, marketing, uppgrades, hardware parts, even toilet paper.

…Salary, upgrades and hardware are all part of designing the game. TP and marketing too to an extent. Like, what, do you think they just put money into a computer and out pops new content? Where do you think money for games design goes?

I see your point, BFA has a lot of mounts added to shop, but since you want to do math there were 12 mounts added, not 8 with MoP basically matching the number BFA released so far. (WotLK 1, MoP 5, Cata, WoD, Legion, 2 each)

Also how exactly would you make a gold sink in this game to curb inflation without being accused of “forcing” people to buy tokens?

a fool and his money are soon parted…:stuck_out_tongue:

But salary and hardware/software are literally the things responsible for new content.

You pay someone to do it - salary
You give them tools to do it with - hardware and software.

Blizzard don’t pay for new content off some new content wholesaler. If they’re bumping peoples salaries then arguably that’s going back into the game in some way shape or form.

I’m not even sure how you’d argue that purchasing hardware isn’t related to development of new content. Unless by hardware you mean like bobbing birds at their desks or something.

Can we stop pretending Blizzard has any integrity or dignity left?

They are:

Selling gold.
Charging absurd prices for expansions.
Adding features and continuing features players never asked for or like.
Putting more effort into store mounts than in game mounts.
Almost all of original Blizzard has jumped shipped.
Ignoring feedback.
Destroyed WoW history and lore just for random unimaginative nonsense.

I’ll just wait for them to find a way to ruin Classic WoW.

I hate your stupidity too.

Look at all the mounts added in 8.0, 8.1, and now the absurd amount of new model mounts with 8.2.

And yet you keep on crying about a few store mounts.

Very nice quality post.

No.
Dude what do you mean by resources. Do you really think that blizzard tells their entire team to work on store mounts? I wouldnt be surprised if one guy worked on them. These threads are getting dumber and dumber every single day.

Unless specified like with the Arena Tournament toys that say ‘‘X proceeds go to funding so and so’’ i would imagine the store mounts are just pocketed as a way to pad quarterly earnings

what I meen is, not denying my first post was realy stopidly written, is that all the money comming from wow, is not going back to wow, it is also going to the other games, and none of us knows how much is going to that, offcourse part goes to wow, but I do think or feel that part of the money is also going to other projects like overwatch, diablo mobile etc…
so even that can be considered developement it doesnt contribute to wow.

Don’t worry…

The mounts pay for themselves several times over through sales. So not a single hard earned coin of yours is used for development of store mounts.

In wow you have many ways to make golds… fast and slower… but still in chill and fun way you can farm 1,2 tokens per 30 days…

So I don’t know why you act as fuuucking retard ?

I am sorry that blizzard must deal with fuuckers like you… rlly…

Finally a good post on the subject. Doesn’t mean i agree but it gives a chance to see the pov of store-mount dislikers.

But with all the reasons you’ve given, i don’t get why game-time-tokens are in a blind spot, like all the time. Is that because it’s easier to see who’s buying store-mounts and attack them? Or is it because there’s no way of getting any insight of the extent of what’s going on on that market?

And you mentioned Rift, i played that since beta with long breaks. It was a magnificent game and in a way it still is. First there was devs stupidity resulting in a large exodus of players and then they had to go f2p with a load of in game minitransactions. If what happened there happens to wow then wow will be doomed i’m afraid.

You can’t pay someone for a service then earmark how that payment is then used, the world doesn’t work like that. Unless the goods are faulty (which is doubtful as it’s digital), then once the transaction is concluded it ceases to be your money to decide what to do with, sorry.

Only reason I deleted them is because your a low life and a waste of time to talk to and if you can not be civil that’s what you get your pathetic so is your little friend Morra. Oh and that’s the last your hear from me loser. Have a nice day.

I want to know how you concluded that in Pandaria where released 5 mounts? Because my math doesn’t fits with your math. So lets take it from start. For you i made this list:

  1. Celestial Steed -release date: 15 april 2010 (WotLK)
  2. Winged Guardian- release date: 31 may 2011 (Cataclism)
  3. Heart of Aspects- release date: 14 february 2012 (Cataclism)
  4. Enchanted Fey Dragon- release date: 21 november 2013 (Pandaria)
  5. Iron Skyreaver- release date: 16 january 2014 (Pandaria)
  6. Warforged Nightmare-release date: 11 june 2014 (Warlords of Draenor)
  7. Mystic Runesaber-release date: 13 may 2015 (Warlords of Draenor)
  8. Luminous Starseeker-release date: 2 august 2017 (Legion)
  9. Shu-Zen, the Divine Sentinel-release date: 12 february 2018 (Legion)
  10. The Dreadwake- release date 19 september 2018 (BFA)
  11. Vulpine Familiar-release date: 13 december 2018 (BFA)
  12. Hogrus, Swine of Good Fortune-release date 30 january 2019 (BFA)
  13. Sylverian Dreamer-release date: 27 june 2019 (BFA)
  14. Alabaster Stormtalon/Alabaster_Thunderwing-release date: 6 august 2019 (BFA).

So, where did you find those 5 mounts released in Pandaria?

And yes, i agree. I did a small mistake: basically they released 5 mounts in BFA, because the last addition ( Alabaster Stormtalon/Alabaster_Thunderwing) are considered as one mount (you buy the pack and you get 2 mounts, for each faction).
So, as you can see, in each expansion until BFA (except WotLK), they released max 2 mounts/expansion. In BFA, they managed to almost triple the amount and i am sure that at the next Blizzcon they will release at least 1 more mount).
So, if you can, try next time to do some research before speaking craps. Thank you.

Maby by making it fair and make the token cost the same amount as a monthly subscription? That would be a start?

I am 100% sure that they will ruin Classic also. Just wait and see.

That means you didn’t get the idea. Its sad how some people can have such a limited inteligence, almost similar with a ape, and still consider themselfs humans.

That i guarantee you 100% that you can’t. When you say “chill mode” , that means you DON’T do nothing regarding “gold farming” (that includes farming mats, farming pet/mounts/whatever, farming proffesions, etc). If you play on chill mode, you barely make gold for 1 token, sometimes not even for 1 token (especially if you are a raider and you need consumables).
Untill i quitted WoW, i was a monthly “token buyer”. I never focused on gold farming, i just played like you said : “chill mode”, doing some m+, some raids when possible,wq, invasions, and so on. Taking in consideration that i was always full with consumables and spent gold for repairs also, my addon showed me that in the last 30 days i farmed 195k gold and spent 60k gold (consumables+repairs).
So i am very sure that you can’t do that, unless you focus on gold farming.

Because we are retards and you are the only smart person here.

I am a collector. And as you saw, maybe, i collected all store mounts, except Hogrus, Vulpine and Dreadwake ( i was planing to buy them in the future). The problem,as i explained above, is not the store mounts drama… , its the “path” Blizz wants to choose for WoW. And that “path” indicates only “dark predictions”.

Now that you mentioned Rift, i can continue my idea: Rift took a agressive stance to “milk” gamers of their money as fast possible(not long after game release, they started with tons of microtransactions). Blizz, it seems, that they choosed a “slower” stance, but steady. And that’s our drama. We fear that the game is starting to change into a p2w game.
Regarding tokens? Let me give you a example: x buys 1 token, converts it into gold then buys a boost. So basically, x obtained 4-5 HC pieces in 1 hour, while a normal player needs maybe 1-2 weeks, maybe more. So, you understand the “token” drama now?
…
I will make a prediction: in max 3 years from now, WoW will become free2play. If they don’t change radically the entire gameplay concept and don’t remove these p2w elements (like tokens or boosts), the game slowly will loose population. Already, BFA lost minimum half the population the game had in Legion. And they loose with each day that passes, more and more players.
A good example was Tera Online: expensive game to buy at start+ subscription. Bad managment made Tera free2play in just a half a year. And since Activision started to put his “claws” on Blizzard franchises, and started to force Blizz to make more money…although they try to resist as much possible…they can’t.

11 june 2014 is still in Pandaria, WoD was released 13 nov 2014, basically 5 months later.

Also there are 2 more mounts in pandaria that have been removed from the shop last year.
Swift Windsteed, released jan 2013 and Armored Bloodwing, may 2013.

So that brings the total to 5 mounts, but as usual, on this forum, the dumbest people alive are also the most smug and arrogant. So just cause your math doesn’t fit, the ONLY logical answer is that i’m speaking crap right? because you’re infallible so what else could it be?
