boosters, min max raiders, raidloggers and anything of those issues is preventing me from playing the proper classic experience. no one does elite quests and no I will not be returning to retail 100%. I am just gonna put my brutality blade and zullian slicer on the shelf for a while specially I am never myself atm (yes I am depressed but that’s not really relating to the issues on classic but its a combination of that)
I guess I may return when I feel better and things a lot more active in classic.
if there were arenas I be gladly do them. yes I play on my 60 rogue in pvp realm but when playing on any realm everything is the same.
Its super sad. Ive been complaining about this too, and now have a moderator looking at my stuff and deciding whether to ban, probably because a mage has flagged me
I hope you feel better soon. If you are looking for supportive people, the wow forums are the wrong place to ask. But nevertheless i wish you the very best.
Rethers you make a good point, but being so blunt to someone clearly having a rough time is not a nice thing to do.
Additonaly, people can minmax current wow content all they want, why they want to go to wow classic and do it confuses me - seems to be treated like the NEW EXPANSION almost, coz BfA was so lame
If nobody do elite quest, it’s only because server are locked and new players can’t come and level. The low level you see is game are alt of main characters who usually get boosted in dungeons because it cost pratically nothing to get level 60 with boost, and after 2 level 60 you don’t really want to do all the quests 1 more time …
Min maxing is part of every game in the world now, I don’t know any multiplayers game without min maxing. It’s the result of many factors, gamers tryhard more.
Raid loggers matter only about yourself, if you like it you do it, if you don’t like you don’t care.
New players aren’t that common though, it’s usually people from other realms.
I’m on a non locked realm and nobody ever does elite quests anymore, since there’s not enough people to do them.
Covid measures did wonders for new players. I had to show someone where sarkoth was in the valley of trials only yesterday morning on my alt realm.
Most of the new players are kind of young, kind of annoying and use the words POG, SHOOK, NGL etc but still. New players
I am on a “High” server (2+ times smaller than the megaservers). I did Blackfathom Deeps, one of the most unpopular dungeons, at 2 AM just a couple days ago.
The Classic experience is not dead. There are people who play the game in the “classical” way.
After levelling my 4th 60 I had my mage boosted until lvl 55 then I did some dungeons until 60.
There are some that still quest and do elite quests but thier number is dropping fast.
I do felt its dead specially my depression and its gets worst with welsh lockdown since I live in wales but I do feel corona lockdown is forever in wales but I didn’t mention it in my op my bad.
Then you might like Paladin. I’m leveling in holy/prot build, which is perfect for aoe grinding but I’ve never done it myself (as I despise mindless mob grinding ^^). Just casually doing quests until I have enough to go to a dungeon. And in dungeons… I’m having a blast.
I myself stopped playing in February and only just recently came back. Feeling much better about the game. Hope you cope with your depression, mate!
What you need to do is to find a Guild with people that enjoys classic as you are, or as you want anyway. Idk how easy or not it is to find, but it will pay off. There is plenty of room for all here, min maxers and casual alike
I also think its sad, But the retail mentality has affected alot of players. Thats why we see things like layering being ok with some parts of the community, Cause they dont seek what Classic offered.
I can admit i buy boosts from mages, The reason can you thank Blizzard for. They have closed down my servers so there is no new players making chars and those already there who does are split into different layers so most of the time i found myself playing without any interaction with other levelers or groups.
So you can thank Blizzard for fuelling boosting to this degree and its just another proof of how layering ruins the game.
