After defending and fanboying the new ui for two weeks, i gave up with it and got the more reliable action bar addon “dominos”. The thing is, default action bars won’t show spell activasion glow, i don’t know how to get it work. It’s insane how blizzard does worse action bars then some random addon author. They should have hired the guy tulla to manage their action bars.
Bartender is also nice but it does so much more than i want, dominos is just simple default replacement.
I cannot recall as I haven’t used the default UI since I was introduced to addons back in TBC but did the old UI have a glow when spells procced?
I would like to thank you for letting me know that Dominos is no longer broken. Last I checked it was not only broken, but Tulla said he couldn’t be bothered to fix it. I wonder what changed.
As for the glow, it works fine for me. Sepaking of which, I wonder how AdiButtonAuras is doing. That was always useful.
I think that is more of a “Battle UI” problem. Some spells are marked to glow and some others are not in the game systems under certain conditions. Thing is, the “conditions” are all over the place since years because every DLC there was a different condition mindset from the devs.

I think demonbolt should 100% be highlighted, but it doesn’t.
The new UI is great, I now get between 163-170 frames per second on ultra when before I would get between 150-160, so yeah, I welcome the change.
I don’t have to use as many add-ons.
I also like the ui and changes, but there are some gamebreaking bugs that’s not yet patched for 2 weeks. Doubtfully they will before launch

What makes you think haters are the majority? Also there’s no way blizzard can make everyone happy, art is subjective. I didn’t like the old ui, but lived with it for years
Whoever defends the new crap Ui is statistically proved just a bad player. Fact.
Theres so many options u cant afford with the new buggy and nonexistent ui what addons like bartender, moveanything,easyframes, threatplates, flyplatebuffs and others fixed long time ago (for example).
I hope there’s a fix asap, cant stand the standard " i dont see 90% of important things any more but cba i play casually" Ui included with bugs and " oh i cant move or hide 90% of the things i could before.

Would be awesome if there were 4 more action bars instead of being 8 to be increased to 12. The best is 15 like in Elvui. I’d make good use of them.
i have no issue with default ui,everything is working as intended,all things glows that should.
only thing that is not working for me is Hold to cast (no macro)

I’ve had dominos since TBC, although it was called something else back then. Can’t ever imagine playing the game without it, or rather I can after the little while it was broken after the patch, and it was a nightmare. Minimalistic and easy to configure, I am sure the new UI took a few notes from it, but it’s nowhere near as good.
I will say I do think the new default UI is an improvement over the old one, though.
Why would I use Google? It’s not like I am getting paid for any of the data that I give them.

What are you talking about? I gave countless feedbacks on beta to improve the default ui so as not to be dependant on action bars addons. Like why would you not defend the new ui if you suggest using bartender etc, if you were not using the default action bars how on earth would it effectt you ? blizzard tried to achieve the same thing that those addons did, but obviously it failed. Now wait for that flyneeko to update his addon unless some random dude decides to upload bandaid fix on his fishy cloudbox
