And lots of other epic Molten Core / Onyxia gear. After 3 weeks.
It is such a shame this was overlooked so badly. The content ‘curve’ at lvl 60 is non-existant, you can go straight to Raggy in your greens and kill him. Not to mention the layering exploits which allowed multiple kills in a week.
This was absolutely impossible during Vanilla, even with today’s knowledge.
But because the game is based on Vanilla 1.12, combined with additional bugs, the only relevant content is probably Naxrammas because all others are nerfed to oblivion.
Look at the success Classic is so far, everybody simply loves the game. But you are going to loose players due to these fatal flaws, more and more people will find out that the game currently makes no sense.
I warned for all of this more than a year ago. Why did you have to go with Legion engine, spending all your time backporting the game, trying to fix all the inevitable bugs, setting a impossible deadline for release, developing a unnecessary layering system that brought more bad than good things.
‘You think you do, but you don’t’ Now we will never find out if this would be true, because this is not even close to Vanilla…
i have not logged in for a few days now. this is NOT the vanilla i remember.
this is an abomination. a bug and exploit filled mess.
i saw a bunch of people with epic mounts more than a week ago, that they got from layer exploit dungeons and special vendors that sell rare patterns. how do i know? because they said so themselves.
i told my self that i would not take the game too serious and just play a little from time to time, but this is honestly getting ridiculous. lost all respect for the game.
I’m going to get massacred for saying this but I do wonder if the much discussed Classic + option, alongside 100% faithful Vanilla servers, right from the very beginning might have been an attractive option for a lot of people. It would have allowed Blizzard to tweak certain glaring design issues and play around with difficulty to ensure that the challenge remained. Even the most ardent defender of Classic would have to acknowledge that even if beating Molten Core in greens is ‘authentic’ - it isn’t particularly healthy for the game.
It could have quite possibly resulted in a more faithful experience from a progression point of view because for arguments sake, a hypothetical 1.13 complete with a talent/ability rework and raid re-balance would have ensured that people didn’t have everything figured out immediately. It would have ironically been closer to the original experience in the sense it would have been somewhat new, uncharted territory. I guess we’ll never know but I think it would have been a fascinating experiment for them to try.
