Sadly people dont have the option to move chars about much due to the #nochange crowd.
Lets say a sever with 20 ally - 80 horde ratio.
Right now the 80 horde is playing happy ganking fest and 20 ally is playing miserable corps run, so the 20 ally complains.
With faction queue, only 20 horde can log in, and they are playing balanced pvp with the 20 ally, while 60 horde has to wait in queue every day, so the 60 horde complains.
You think it is better in long run. But there is no long run if 60% of a server’s pop has to constantly wait in queue.
And tomorrow there will be thousands of complaining threads on the forum to remove the queue, just like all your complaining topic here.
If Blizzard gives in to your complain and implement faction queue, they might as well gives in to those people and remove faction queue too.
I dont get why the #nochanges crowd is against moving from PvP to PvE, this was possible in Vanilla, so you should be all in for it. Besides, more players in total is better for the game no matter where they play, better to have them on a pve realm than make them quit.
I think i love you well put
Well that’s a separate issue. This could be overcome with server merges to even out the horde numbers. Or free server changes. I think it’s hard for you to have any grasp of where we are right now as you don’t have any personal experience with how it is at the moment. At the minute it’s worse than one side having to queue to play.
Choosing lvl60 is the best estimate to have for individual accounts/players, from what I understand at least. Not many have more than one lvl60 while at the same time one can have 9 alts < 60. Numbers then begin to skew because not everyone has the same amount of alts. Now I’m not sure how many are still not 60 with their mains but since the problems of server faction imbalance started showing with the current number of 60s then its safe to make estimates off of that only.
So explain to me exactly why you should not only count lvl60s
PvP to PvE transfer is the best solution. It will never solve the faction imbalance on pvp servers, but it will make the game experience much better for those who willing to transfer.
Please stop saying his idiotic nonsense. Pvp and pve are two separate things. Stop confusing it with server populations
Because you are counting it i suspect for all realms and regions and not realm specific IE pvp servers only .
Plus even 3 months later there still is not that many at 60 were a huge bunch are in the 50 to 59 bracket.
If you are referring to me I know very well the difference btw pve-pvp, server pop and so on. What I and many other are interessted in is PvP->PvE transferrs, no that will not save the pvp servers, nor will it fix population, we know. BUT it might keep alot of People from quitting. It might not be what you would preferr but it might save some. Afterall arent we supposed to enjoy the game we pay for? And isnt it better to have People actually play somewere else then just quit?
PS: I am on the majority side on my pvp server, I would still like to go to a pve realm if i could.
And do you know why they have a bigger server cap? Otherwise servers would die off so fast and people would complain. It’s a better option to have bigger servers and put more people on them so when some quit it won’t affect the server itself as much.
No brother, it was to Kanasi
Horde private server no-lifers killed it. Retail Vanilla world PvP was never like this. I didnt need to corpse run from Thorium point to BRD over an hour…
Because you are counting it i suspect for all realms and regions and not realm specific IE pvp servers only .
Then we go back to my argument that if there was an incentive for server faction balance (i.e. faction only queue) many people who want to play Alliance and pvp wouldn’t have rolled on a PvE server just to be able to at least play the game. So you can’t really completely take out PvE servers out of the equation for this issue.
Plus even 3 months later there still is not that many at 60 were a huge bunch are in the 50 to 59 bracket.
Doesn’t matter, you will still get more accurate pop measure with lvl60 at this very moment because you know for sure that players are most likely to have only 1 lvl 60. The 50-59 bracket can easily be filled with alts and if you somehow happen to know exactly how many of those are alts or mains then measuring lvl 60s will still reflect a more correct measure of the player ratio.
WIth that logic it doesn’t matter which way around you do it. As it stands now with what is actually happening and not hypothetically, people are leaving.
Im not sure if yoy are being obtuse or not but i think you dont understand faction balance and reasons why changes .
Ok when classic open we all suffered long que times due to lack of servers.
We only (for eu english speaking realms)
Have
3 pve servers
18 pvp servers
1 rp-pvp server
Other RP servers i cant remember how many we have .
But we didnt have that many at launch so many were forced to play on pvp servers because blizzard in there wisdom opened more if them then pve ones.
So many flocked to them to avoid ques but after a month found out they didnt like pvp and with no option to move just quit.
Census+ and ironpop have proved servers have gone from being balanced to being horde owned.
I refuse to believe you think the game is fine but it really doesnt surprise me because you are on a faction heavy server .
Im to tired to debate atm but the game is far from fine please stop spreading false rumours it doesnt help the playerbase as a whole.
Did you get killed 10 times today, or did you get killed 10 times per hour, 2 weeks in a row, on a daily basis?
There is a difference, you know…
I love it when my predictions come true.
I predicted this would happen on PVP servers long before the game ever released, where i stated that it’s gonna be a gankfest, and nothing but griefing. Got bashed by people who disagreed with me and told me that it would be amazing… It was going to be fun! Now, the same people who bashed me back then, are quitting the game.
If the ganking gets out of hand i do something else.
Just log off and do something else. It´s not that hard. level an alt. Play the AH, there are a lot of alternatives.
One of the worst thing in gaming is when I am unable to play the game for whatever reason. I don’t care whether it’s bad internet connection, time gated content (in retail) or ganking - the result is the same.
