I thought retail was bad but classic is so much worse

I missed out in 2019 first classic release so thought id try this one…

How is this “fun” for anyone?

AH is totally unaffordable.

Every item you may or may not need from a dungeon is HR

You cannot mine or herb in the open world as bots have taken them all.

I feel like its been a total waste of time playing this.

Is SoD any better? Thinking about trying that instead

I’m sorry but it’s somewhat worse here. In comparison, prices at Anniversary is much more affordable. Hope you find a group with fair loot rules! Or create your own.

Yea but gdkp is banned so in reality everything is fine.

The Classic itself as game is good but Blizz closing eyes to bots, GDKP and rest is really killing the game. At this point I don’t even know what to do… Even pservers have less bots and handle them really fast.

They may have less bots, but there’s still illegal gold demand on an illegal server ironic isn’t it? The price only goes up though to fulfill said demand it’s not like bots are eradicated even when they get handled “really fast” over there.

They dont stand a chance vs the bots have you watch the latest video on you tube about it? Madskilzzhc vid they are dealing with upwards of 12k bots all in groups on different scripts estimated to be earning in excess of 3m dollars

Funny how you can’t comment without dragging GDKP into the subject.
We know GDKP was one of the reasons people bought gold - that is a fact.

Boosting was another, and is still allowed. I hoped Blizzard would do like what they did in SOM by lowering the XP gains drastically with highlevels in a dungeon. The XP gains are lowered in Fresh but not enough to stop people getting boosted by bought gold.

Blizzard is worth 20.79 BILLION but somehow some third world gold farmers are running circles around them.
Also funny how Madskilzzhc can see the bots, we can see the bots, everyone can read Maraudon boosts being 15g/run week 2, but of course it’s just too hard for poor little Blizzard to intervene.
Let alone the fact that they can track all gold trades.
The reason why we have such rampant RMT is because Blizzard doesn’t care.

Sod is dead.
Not all dungeons are hr. But you can make own groups and hr.
Still plenty of places to farm gold. Dosent have to be mining/skinning

Era, despite of all of its faults, still offers a somewhat decent Classic experience.

I know it is a weird way to play the game since Naxx is already out and all content on farm - But now that so many players have moved on tyo anniversary, we do have a more relaxed atmosphere and still a pretty big and busy server.

Worth checking it out, if you may!

How’s the bot situation in era servers now that the hype died down and they “stabilized” ?
Also, bots aside, how contested are the zones and how easy is it to form groups while leveling & at 60 ?

Id like to play era but I am somewhat reluctant to give it a go, am afraid of it being too empty, “boring” and expensive taking into consideration that playing classic wow is a huge time investment.

PvP cluster is bit below 4K, PvE cluster is bit below 1K active raiders. Leveling will be mostly solo, but that also depends where you roll. People are on Anniversary. Barrens right now have ~30 levelers on each cluster.

I see, thanks for the information

Definitely less bots, but there still are a few. I dont think it is comparable to Anniversary in any way though.

As for the empty factor - My advice if you end up deciding to give it a go is take it easy. You would definitely be able to form groups to clear content, it would just require more effort and patience.

Im logged in right now and a progression DKP guild looking for players, a UBRS group forming… its just cozy, and Im somewhat happy the server pop has gotten lighter.

This being said man, try it or not, Era will always be there, on its own parellel universe, with no rat race. Whenever you feel like joining, we will bere here

I’ve checked a few gold selling sites last week, when I had that impression of well known bots disappearing on an era realm.

Several sites listed under era only the anniversary realms. All former era realms had disappeared. Which effectively means, they are no longer selling gold on them.

Obviously anniversary realms are so much more profitable, that they switch realms on those botting accounts.

I really wish Blizzard would address this issue. For the time being, it looks like playing on the era realms may become somewhat more enjoyable.

Credit Card → Buy boost/gear → Camp low level players and feel superior. Buy R14 boost with +20hr per day farming → Camp low level players and feel superior. Buy raid gear → afk capital city → feel superior.

Clear now?

Are you playing on PvP or PvE? Is it hard to find groups for low level and end game dungeons?

GDKP was only part of the problem, needed to ban boosting as well

Not neccesarily ban bosting, just make the XP gains abysmall when a high level joins - just what they did in SOM.
