Since the sharding there's no way to get around being outnumbered 7:1 by hordes. Being outnumbered 7:1 isn't fun, but you would not know about that hordie.
Ye, just how about not to introduce a modus which alters every server from pve or pvp to whatever this mess is. People choose for a reason to play on PvE or PvP Servers. Now people choose to turn WM on for PvE reasons which is frankly horrible.
They should have either balanced the server populations correctly - yes there are ways to do this. Or made sure sharding is actually a good thing. Since the former is a never ending work, a proper sharding seems the best way of solving the issue.
And for the population imbalance...well check out the current progress of mythic then say again that there is no imbalance. If we assumme that the level of skill of the players of both factions is similiar, then there is no other explanation for the horde completely dominating the progress besides pure numbers.

I don't want to be bothered at all even by my own faction while out questing, so the idea of having my flow disrupted by PvP sounds terrible. Warmode will always be a no from me as a result.

This is how we leveled - but you seem to be ignoring the point that this is what we sought. We actually have warmode on - BECAUSE - we want fights. And clearly, we're alot more organized around just that, the good fights.
When ganked while leveling, especially if there were alot of alliance around - it did not take 5 minutes untill the first "X up for raid invite" started popping up in /1 or /3.

Don't teach me about warmode as I was playing with it on since very first BfA quest popped out in the Silithus. I've seen a lot of Horde & Alliance players around, fighting 1vs1 back then and it was fun in the first 24 hours after release - especially in Vol'dun around that Setthrak temple.
But now all you can see are 40-people Horde raids from all different realms hunting down leveling players or smaller groups, body camping them 24/7... you can easily call it Hordemode, not Warmode.
And fighting? This is not fighting at all, this is slaughter.
Edit: If I would like to have a fair fight, I would go on the arena for some 2vs2 or 3vs3. There are no fair fights in Warmode, Horde almost never goes for 1vs1 as there's always some backup running around them. x)
Maybe more people would have war mode on if horde wasn't full of people who think they're pro when killing someone 5v1.

If Alliance magically had more players closer to equal to the amount of Horde players warmode would be balanced.

What a stupid reasoning, most people would enjoy warmode if it was in any way fair, all I've ever done in WoW is PvP and yet I can't turn it on when I do my daily world-quests because of the sheer faction imbalance, I'm still turning it on after I'm done but at that point there's no incentive for me to go back out there to actually PvP

I don't think alliance are cowards. They are just not interested. Some realms used to be pure PvE and for a reason people chose such realms. On those realms Hordes are better. But there are other realms where I think alliance are very good as well, I guess we talk about ex-PvP realms.
In general, it is just a very odd design to mix everything PvE and PvP in one place. In PvE, alliance who decide to go with PvP are in minority, not getting help, with no organisation, probably not experienced, and playing classes / specs they like, not classes which are stronger in PvP on 1v1, aka Paladin.
If we talk about cowards, well let's talk about players who wait in WQ areas and kill single targets. It's said to me because this game has so much content and staying in one place and kill a player every 10 mins is said. I know this is a part of the game but who has time for that?

Cry me a river, if you want your perfect numbers go play instanced pvp. its imbalanced on both sides, maybe more for alliance i dont know since i never play that faction. One problem with this could be that blizzard rewards ganking with the world pvp achievements and the call to arms quests.
Been in lots of ganking groups and most of the time if anyone of us got wanted there would be 40 alliance coming afther us and to counter that we could just remove the wanted debuff by just geting ourself killed by an mob or log out and in again.

Yeah, I'm done with warmode. Takes 30-60 minutes to kill 12 blood trolls in nazmir because the sharding is crap. I'm 100% sure every single one of these drooling morons would just run away if the situation was 1v1 instead of 1v10 or something.

It was perfectly justified answer to anyone who think they're better than the rest of the world
For years alliance players milked pvp racials to the dirt making all servers alliance overpopulated. During those times us horde still played this game no matter how bad it was with the imbalance . Since the racial ability prune the horde has seen a steady influx off ex alliance players , who to be honest are the ones ganking their own faction from the horde side.
