Most Raiders also do a minimal amount of M plus, some do a lot.
If you are in a guild where you need to ‘gear for your raidspot’, then you are either in a mythic raiding guild, which will require you to do m+ anyway, or in a sh*tty guild and you’re better off without em
Because I don’t think someone who spams Freehold for two years should have an advantage over someone who only does the latest raid tier.
They do not have an advantage.
We’ve been through this, a 30-minute m+ gives 60% chance loot + titan residuum + weekly chest. A raid boss gives 20% chance at one piece. It’s starting to make me very angry. Like tonight I’m pushing content with my guild and we might spend an hour wiping on one boss, and even if we down it I just get 20% chance of loot, three times less than doing a Freehold. It seems like Blizzard hates raiders.
I honestly don’t see this as unreasonable tbh, if anything I have been wondering why raiding is the only group system right now without a weekly chest mechanic (not counting visions because you can solo that)

I never claimed dungeon mechanics are hard, a FH m+run is probably as hard as HC bosses tho.

First 4 bosses on mythic is hilariously easy in nyalotha, even with pugs. And these bosses drop some good stuff for certain classes.
You also prob cant force some mechanics for dungeon bosses which u see from raids, because they made those in mind that 10+ people in the raid.
And also most elite raiders did m+ swarm only the 1st week maybe, to hunt broken corruption items.
+11 isn’t even hard to finish. You can get loot even if you don’t do it in time.

Both raiding and M+ are compared to PvP welfare gear. The first bosses of Nylotha define welfare gear new and are mandatory for many PvP specs. 100% good corrupted weapons for most specs are easy to farm in the raid - I killed Maut several times for the Anzig’Vra and for the BiS resto trincket in the game that gives you almost infinite mana and is in 460 better than every other trincket in the game.
In arena you can’t aim for specific items - the ilevel is rly bad and getting rating for relevant ilevel is quite hard if you are not geared. And gear drops are very infrequent ontop.
In that case make azerite gear drop from m+ again and we gucci
I’ve thought of another solution to the problem. Make it so that if you don’t time the key you still get loot, but no credit for weekly chest, no residuum and the key is destroyed (have to start over again from M0).
