If you consider playing Classic fresh, don't. More bots than players

stopped play at level 42 cause every zone is infested with more bots than players. its sad to see blizzard do next to nothing than once in a while mail you they took 1 action against 100 of bots you report

I believe those bots are used by Blizzard .

I’m playing plenty of other mmo … nothing like here

Lineage reborn server with 40k population . You make a report immediately a gm is coming and taking action if that xx-person is using any ilegal software .

Meanwhile WoW bots farming 24/24 your report them just for them to be banned 6 months after

What is your basis for this?

WoW is quite popular after all, especially since they re-introduced Classic.

So they will send a GM immediately? What if a lot of players send reports? Would they have enough GM’s to handle all of it at once? I sincerely doubt it.

If bots are immediately banned they tend to be worked at much faster to adjust until they’re not.

Generally you receive a random mail that they may have taken action to prevent reports from being identified. But they tend to banwave them every once in awhile yep.

As long as people will buy gold, there will be bots sadly enough.

But also, in your post you did not claim the other MMO’s were bot free either with sources. Instead, you personally attacked the MVP that uses multiple sources, no reasonable person would do that.

For example in another F2P game Valorant & League this is explained in more detail why it is so difficult:

The botting problem is prevalant in all games/MMO’s, not just WoW. If there was a solution there would be one by now.

An ex-dev that worked at Blizz:

You may suggest any methods you may think of through the ingame feedback box but it is not likely that it will be groundbreaking new suggestion.

Weekly bans, as stated below.

Tbf isnt this entirely a player-driver problem?

A not so small part of the community obviously prefer to buy maxlevel and to buy their bis-gear and cba to play the game.

Supply and demand etc…

We have tons of things to criticize Blizzard for these days but lets be honest, on this one we should point the finger at the playerbase.

Idk either why they’re going for BiS and stuff and I openly wonder if these are the same players like past Classic editions - the guys who want to be always at the top or something.

I mean, there’s plenty of fun to be had at the GDKP-less SOD and I could finally get invited to and start “even” loot rules instead of having to see 50 rows of “buy your boost/spot” here type ads.

Everything is for profit and if you have a product you wanna monopolize everything .
WoW is a money machine and of course those in higher position will use any mean of getting the whole cake .

I start few months before tbc release so didn’t got the chance to enjoy Classic at it primes and 2019 i was working aboard so again no time to enjoy.
Still I’m one of the gamers that i enjoy fairness and any games doesn’t provide is a big X.

Like i previously state i enjoy farming-grind or whatever it calls .
I Played plenty of games in my life and of course you remind the plus and minus at least for several of them .

I remember playing the old Lineage where everyone was using bots , was funny but that how it was .
The New at least Lineage Reborn that i started 3 years ago has my respect in term of how they act towards cheaters=botters.
Has a spawn addon that if you miss it you are getting more attention and possible ban if they find any non-human movement .

Would be nice to have such addon for wow but i doubt they want >>less money

I’m still having fun with my Holy Paladin at lvl 47, but the boosting and inflation is really getting out of hand, and I’m reporting every single bot I come across, even got some replies that actions were taken (tho they are most likely thrown bones, I work at customer support IRL, I know how this goes LOL).

As long as there is demand, suppliers will be here. And Blizzard is going to be one step behind, it’s just the very nature of how it is. As soon as Blizzard handles one method the suppliers will move on to the next.

So, this is an opinion then. Not actual factual based source… Hm. I mean, sure they are a profit-based company, but it hurts their bottom line as some youtubers pointed out in some replies I’ve gotten too so I don’t think it makes much sense that Blizzard themselves are using bots.

Could you explain more about this? The thought I get with it is that it is sorta the same thing like Runescape used to do with their random puzzle checks?

How many times will we have to tell you? The Bots pay for the game and a subscription, no matter how, given the astronomical amount of Bots, Blizzard gets a very good profit from it.

Ah I forgot to include the updated post about it:

Some accounts also get stolen with phishing methods or used with fraudulent credit cards, that incur chargeback merchant fees for Blizzard. The “paid” amount plus penalty costing Blizzard a lot more not to mention the damage the botters do ingame.

But since you posted in prior threads about this you must’ve atleast read about it once before so… You’ll need an actual source to back that it up that Blizzard"gets a very good profit from it".

In another post a player also supplied it with additional videos:

I think it was video 2? That showed they were using low buy power country accounts to make very cheap accounts. It doesn’t seem to me that Blizzard is profiting.

I browse the forums since a week max, and I’ve seen this exact same
reply copy pasted by you , over and over again.
If this is truly your opinion, then make a thread and discuss it there.
You don’t need to dilute actual topics with copy paste stuff.

Also, you ask

What is your basis for this?

While this was literally the opening line of the post, and all the rest
was the basis. Maybe opinionated, maybe anecdotal, still the basis
was provided. So you asking for it, seems odd.

This problem will never be solved because of blizzard and players both.
Only way to deal with it - to play strictly on non high pop pve realms.
Blizzard can also legalize bots and give every player instruments to use bots but WoW will never be same

Have you ever considered that problem may be in WoW players mentality?

One singular raid on a pve server AS A HEALER right now is 150-200g
Half of that is flask alone but runes and mana pots on top of 10g chonoboons does add up.

Do you know how much consumables a raid in Guild Wars 2 requires? N O N E

I wish i could just blame players for being an overachievers but asking players in classic to do raids without consumables is like asking retail players to do raids without weak auras.

You spend 200g for mc?

I used a flask as a healer like twice in AQ only. And I dont really care about WB and it was fine.

Blizzard need to start permaban players that is buying gold. If noone is buying gold, the bots will go away by themselves. But I doubt Blizz will do that, becouse if they do as they say and ban thousands of bots every week, that is a LOT of revenue for all of tose bots paying subscription.

So you buy gold for that? You know the reason prices are so high are becouse people buy gold. And get a better guild. We did MC back in 2005 with no world buffs, no flasks, crappy internet and computers that was lagging and running in barly visable anything and no addons, and you can’t do it today withouth 200g in consumables. Get a few mana pots and 2 stacks of water from a mage and you shoudl be golden.
