Sorry but you can’t just say “but generally good person wont abuse the option to post or like on alts to confuse the reader”, and in the same breath assume that people will mute everyone they disagree with. The funniest part is that you agreed with my entire argument, and then made up something I never said and added a response to that as if I did say it, presumably just to have a reason to disagree with me on something because you didn’t want to accept that you actually do agree with me entirely.
No, I don’t have to redact anything. They are publicly here on this forum just as I am. If I was insulting them, shaming them, or enciting any form of harrassment or violence against them, then sure, but I simply used examples of who I would personally put on ingore, and who I wouldn’t, and they are all forums regulars everybody already knows.
A good person has no problem with other people’s opinions. GP can ignore them or use the current ignore function to not receive notification of replies. They can control their emotional responses, their brains have evolved to the point where they are in control of their emotional impulses, and they do not need any special megaignore button when they are furious unlike some other people with instable temperament.
I would rather see people who cant be calm leave with their garbage rage issues.

As i wrote the real issue here i see is with aggression on forums from certain angry individuals.
Like the person who calls people pests, not the lack of megaignore.
So instead of giving angry people more functionality i would let them in a position of choice be more tolerant or find log out button.
I could be wrong, but thats my opinion on the subject.
If a spammer gets too offended by being called a pest, they could use the ignore function as well
Some people spam, some people stay calm, some people are a bit more aggressive than others towards spammers, and some defend spammers and instead complain about a fairly mild insult towards them.
And guess what, I would not be calling these people pests if they didn’t take up half my thread list with 5 “#soloq” posts, “Fruuuuuuuit!”, and that one paranoid individual who posts from 5 characters because he thinks the mafia is trying to kill him. Because I would have those people on ignore, wouldn’t see their threads, wouldn’t go in to give them a piece of my mind out of annoyance, they wouldn’t get offended, there would be no aggression as a result and we could all engage in discussions on topics we want to discuss without looking for needles in the haystack of uniteresting spam posts.
Has anyone ever talked about the fact that people are using alts to collectively gaslight?
There surely are a lot of angry people on this forum. Some more vocal about it, some more subtle. And some need an alt and a group of like-minded singling out certain people to direct and project their anger. Some put up entire campaigns with said alts against people they feel the need to target their anger at. And some even encourage others to do the same.
And, you know, I simply just would like to be able and actually KNOW, who does this, because I’m not here to talk to “facets of a person” or their “dark alter ego”. I also don’t want to be forced to distrust people’s intentions not knowing who is who anymore. Not having faces to what is said is enough anonymity imo and everything else invites account abuse to me, that’s it.
Seriously, everyone missing the gaslighting actions of the past few days needs to step up their psychological game. The tactic could be observed in most of what is played down as “weekend posts” and it serves a very certain purpose. Intimidation and defamation of players are two very serious issues in a community and a lot of forum users suffer from it. It is directly enabled by ignore function not working properly and people using alts to cover their traces while actively harassing and manipulating other players.
If only poster could be seen as battlenet account instead character it would solve half of the problem.
But then it would be funny seeing some thread where 3 different posters compliment Bob the OP, then change would happen and you would see Bob posted 4 posts in the row xD

There is people i have on ignore in this thread as they troll and flame bait often and i can see them in other people’s posts i simply do not want that .
If i ignore them i want them gone and deleted from view .
Between 4 posters on the forums atm they cover 57 chars posting on it needs to stop with spam .
I was expecting some to come in and attack my views and 3 of the one’s i suspected did as i can see the “ignore content” i checked and it was 2 shaman’s and a lock who all borderline harass me in other threads .

I understand i am hated on the forums and i am blunt and very brash but its getting to the point were people on purpose go thread to thread having a go then accuse me of me saying i am a victim.
Let me get this right i am never going to be a victim to any of you on the forums none of you are strong enough or powerful enough to wear me down ,you are just simply annoying .
I have been really abused in my life and i am a survivor of that so none of what some people here says matter i just do not want to see it .
People that constantly post on numerous alts are weak minded people that dosen’t deal or experience any kind of adversity that dosen’t aling with their Opinion.
Instead of ignoring them, just report every thread they make. Eventually GMs will have to act and then none of their alts will be able to post cus of they got banned for X thing on the forum.
That, is how you silence the same guy posting on his alt number XXXX nonsensical thread.
There are people in here, who make a habit out of posting right after you. To establish a connection they can’t get anymore by direct replies. So they post-comment on what you responded to and indirectly (or even directly) refer to you still. I had one specific user replying to my posts directly after explicitly telling him that I had him on ignore and don’t wish to communicate any further. He didn’t stop practically aiming at me replying to hidden comments. Nothing but provocative.

I know it can be very challenging mentally and I want you to know that I feel a bit the same. Whatever they do: Don’t question yourself. That’s their intention. To make you question yourself to a point where you question your views and sanity. You are not insane, your opinion is valid and you have every right to express it. Even if some people are systematically trying to silence you.
Now I don’t know how you managed to count this exact number of bullies. (Maybe a similar writing style?) Regardless, it’s quite a lot to be contained yourself, and by the time you’ve ignored them manually, you’ve spent precious hour that could be used for something better.
All I could say is that you try and ignore threads that might have these types of people. Don’t even open them, or even if you have to, act like they aren’t there. Of course they’ll try and drop into any fun threads too, but… if not given a damn, they’ll realize their lack of power sooner or later. Trust me, this is what I do
