Hello Blizzard.
I’m an enormous fan of this project. However I’ve been standing in Badlands scouting the epic Broken Tooth for 6 hours now. No sight.
So I might have changed layer without me knowing it. If this is true, you will never be able to get any pet/rare spawn, since you won’t know the timer.
What is the respawn timer on BT? Please do answer, since it’s a shame.

The respawn timer is 7-8 hours. Just say Layer please in world chat until you see him.

A rare spawn that is close to impossible to tame. That’s exactly how it supposed to be.

It was always like this, that is why it’s a very rare mob and everyone is after it.
Back in 2005 the first time I’ve tried to tame it, there was an alliance hunter which did the same(I was a proud orc back then). And we started fighting, he called his friends, I called my friends, it turned into a 5v5, then in ten minutes it was a 50v50 from badlands to blackrock mountains back and forth.
Just to see that Broken Tooth spawned an hour later and someone in the raid killed him.
I’ve literally camped the spot for 5 days or more without blinking an eye. especially late at night. One day at around 5:15 am I got it.
You see, I remember everything so clear after 15 years. Why? Because it is rare and hard to get.
Deal with it.

Then they should remove layering asap.

I don’t think you can change layers randomly, unless you’re invited in a group.
Considering all the QQ about queues, that’s probably won’t happen anytime soon.

What happens when you say that?
You suddenly get invites from random people, works better than yelling lfg.
I noticed that when you repeatedly accept the invites and leave to join a new party new spawns will appear on the screen. It’s magic.
I have still brokentooth in retail - I don’t know since how many years. 
I’ve camped BT on and off now for soon 20h… Haven’t seen him spawn, haven’t even seen his corpse… Does BT even exist? Have they given him stealth?

so i take it that all the pets have had their special abilities removed, Blizzard should bring those back onto the pets since NOT all of them had special abilities and does make hunting those rare spawns enticing for hunters.
As far as i can recollect those specials were removed close to the end of classic/start of burning crusade (and i thought they came into force with TBC). so broken tooth would be exactly the same as a lower level cat when it is leveled up to the same level.
Bah no point in spending time hunting for them then.
I used to know a pet skill place that told you where and what to tame and then learn its skill from use then you could release it and hunt out the next, but is there one like that for Classic? since the one i knew no longer exists. oh and what aboutthe other pets, are there some of those in classic or where they brought in later on (several expansions later being turned into battle pets) but for now just cosmetics.
So a rare mob is hard to find and tame, what a bug 
blizz should really send you one to mail as a compensation

Took me 4-5 hours to get Broken Tooth, no changing layers. I don’t think I’ll ever get Tidal Charm though since it seems to be camped by people abusing layers. Even if I discover when he was killed last, how can I know I’m on the same layer when it’s time again? It’s confusing as hell.
Are you literally crying for waiting 6 hours? Back then people waited for weeks to tame broken tooth, now you can just hop from layer to layer. It’s disgusting and you’re even complaining. The nerve with this one.

4-5 h? Damn you’re lucky … I’m now on 26h+, and still nothing… Obv. not 26h in a row, but since I don’t have that much time to play, I haven’t been able to sit for more than max 4h a time.
Just had to come back on here and check if anyone HAVE caught him, because I’m at this point not even sure if hes real. Still haven’t even seen him…
hahahah oh man, it’s so casual,…somebody killed him! painful, but at least you got him at the end
