This. The only expansion where I would very seriously consider buying gold is the one where you can’t. When Naxx comes around and you have to blow 500g in consumes on a progression night… Honestly I don’t know what I will do. I’m not a kid anymore, when I want thing, I buy thing.
The best solution would be to have a chance to get it by gathering the high level herbs, something like crystals with mining.
This is why I prefer mining more in Classic. I know it is RNG and small chance, but this way every person has a chance to get it.

Agreed. The SoM change was greatly appreciated. I can’t think of a reason why BL shouldn’t be more available considering the massive playerbase in each server

People who don’t understand the basic laws of economics were convinced banning GDKP was the end-game for a healthy economy.
Quit fresh the moment flasks hit 100g. Not farming 4 hours per week to raid MC, just to roll a 7 and a 19 on OSG and lose it to some dude in greens for the 47th time.
In any case, if you want a solution, either a) change the mats to something dungeon farm-able (an environment independent of bots) e.g. using DE shards or tokens upon dungeon clears – or b) fixed price sale at a vendor.
Unfortunately for you, there is no financial interest for blizzard in making such a change.

just let the lotus spawn from one of the random highlevel herb notes (not %while picking, but spawn on the actual note) in the zone, it will at least fix all the duo accounts that sits afk on notes with minimapalert.
Make Black Lotus either bop or unique. Or both.
It’s crafting reagent so making it bop is not good idea. Making it unique is pointless because you plck it and just send to your bank (and it will also increase prices of flasks because crafters can’t make all flasks at once, but need run to a;cheamy lab for every 1 flask spending time and so increasing price of ready flasks. But for lotus farmers it’s not so big inconvenience because their spawn cooldown is long anyway and they have time to send it to bank)

Because thats reason for this high prices LOL If u r choosing to be blind thats ok but is reallity. Removing gdkp from game made this toxic prices, peole buy gold now more that they would with gdkp and people who buy gold control AH. Get real!
GDKP is not removed - it is just hidden from the public.
The problem is having a mega server instead of many smaller servers. This makes botting far more profitable: they only need one realm to bot and can sell all their gold to the entire realm. And ofc Blizzards passive stance regarding bots makes it even easier.
