if you from start loose half of player then loose 70 % more of participants in 14 weeks this is a disaster

but as per this nterview - its disaster Ion is ok with - because he hates m+ from start .

its like hollywood - making woke films for imaginary audience and then saying its audience fault for not coming to cinemas.

its exactly what happens with m+ - Ion designed it for imaginary top 1 % tryhards while willingly sacrificiing 99 % of players.

Ion Hazzicostas is the problem of m+ and entire game. Danuser was just a scapegoat. Until this arrogant morron, esport department and DEI are being kicked out of game development, no chances it can ever recover.

Frankly I don’t think they could of said anything in the interview which to me would of partly addressed any of the issues I see with M+, considering how long it took them to address chronic leavers who are griefing keys by leaving

I personally don’t have any problems with doing the dungeons themselves, aslong as its possible I’m indifferent about it, sadly I feel like my class doesn’t have the same defensive options as when I first started keys back in legion.

But I still like doing keys no less, there is no problem in the equation for me until the dreaded pug word.

Class design is also a problem, but it always has been, but usually there is some crazy craftable items which usually compensate the issue, or cheat death trinkets etc.

Pugging into groups? Half of the groups are boost runs where group lead is fishing for blasters so he can get his dumpy key carried where he can do next to nothing, pull the closest to bare minimum as possible and get a juicy myth reward track when not even overalling 1 mill in a +10 but you’re only getting in if you’re overqualified, not on par or slightly below.

there is also the problem of inviting players too, now this one is slightly a double edged sword. First problem, people posting a note going “alt 3k main” or w/e. Ok thats cool, but im on my main. Why would I invite -your- alt when im sure if the heel was on the other foot, I would not get an invite either. the whole 3k thing holds basically no weight to it as far as I am concerned since usually if you’re 2.7/2.8 you’re doing roughly the same keys as a 3k just with less actually timed.

on the same topic, another issue. The number of boosted players, who are straight up buying piloted or boosted runs where they dont play is -Insane- and part of the problem of why LFG is a dumpster fire imho, because of how many boosts there are, inviting people is a walking nightmare.

You basically have to interview people else you’ll get joe discpriest whos 8/8 in heroic with a grey parse on queen of like 1k healing or something and all keys timed at 10/11 somehow and suspiciously only has his keys done as a 3 stack of people well above his pay grade and when he does your key with you, over the course of 40 minutes he will use dome once and maybe pain supp 3 times and your key is probably dead too.

I wont too give M+ a try because PvP got a bit bord and i alrdy hit my goal and got elite 2.4 in a bracket

I was healing on my MW with 610 ilevel a lot of versa from PvP gear that make me tanky

And i only tried out +2 max was a +3 and it was so hard too heal i could not belive it, i know from prev season if you get into higher keys where people have better gear and play cleaner healing can get eaven a bit more relaxing then low keys

But the dungeon where full of oneshot stuff that you need too learn or the key is rip so i cba

That only happens when people stand in all the circles they can find. And a +2 is so forgiving those players aren’t actually dead. I timed my first +10 with like that ilvl on mistweaver. All this damage is not on you to fix. In a +2 there isnt any 1 shot stuff.

As long as we can use the gear obtained from M+ also in other types of content (and visa versa); yes it does.

Thats what i said, i maybe could heal a +10 where a good groop is playing, but the mad part about this +2 are hard is that player dont have a glue and they get pushed away from M+ bevor the get into it and then you get what we have atm.

Oh i am 100% for bringing back the old +2-10 keys. Allthough with a group of 610 (delve gear) i do not realistically think you can untime a +2.

Why? If you can get gear easier to go for harder content, why is this bad?

Many people get curve (Or indeed cutting edge) by over gearing the content to the point they don’t need the loot, it’s clear the loot is NOT what people are interested in when they farm this content, since otherwise no-one would progress raids in this way, or bother with higher keys.

Gear is part of the reward-structure. If you can get gear which is good for or better than the content you’re progressing in by doing something else, potentially easier, then part of this equation is going to shift into the wrong direction.

Don’t forget that for some, getting fully geared is the goal. And once reached, the motivation to continue becomes low to nonexisting.

Yeah, and more people get AotC than the ones who do every single boss in there. Yes, achievements are a significant goal. Doesn’t mean that achievements are the only goal.

And for higher keys…if you look at the characters who did all the dungeons on +11 or higher: 11%. All +12 or higher: 3%. So, we can somewhat conclude that loot and rewards (crests) is surely a significant factor for the vast majority of the players.

There’s a reason why certain key levels peak, activity wise.

so basically s2 will be as bad if not worse then s1 and we will continue to lose subs.

Dps role is less responsible and more relaxing to play, that is why it is more “fun”.

That would mean we dont need dps role at all, only tanks?

Just remove peril and guile and problem solved.

The problem is class balancing, meta specs and dungeons beeing very complicated for tanks. That is why so few tank because it is to much work for no rewards
Then people saying classes are balanced they do not know their stuff.
My hunter with 625 ilvl does less damage in m+ and in raids than my paladin did as reteibution of level 615. We have a lock in our guild that with 610 did 150k more dps in Ara Kara than my hunter when i was 620
Ofc people will not accept my hunter in hi’s m+ key and would pick something everyone knows does better. I would do the same. When i tank i sometimes invite bm hunters if the other 2 dps are 630+ and its a 10 key. For 11 i would not pick. Then i log to my hunter and no onr pivks me either and i u derstand them why they decline

Then change specs, perhaps? MM and Surv can absolutely blast in M+. MM is marked in the top of the raid currently too? Retri is actually super mediocre when it comes to ST damage. So if you fall behind on Retris even though having 10 ilvl more…it’s not a balancing issue.

i dont think anyone will say the game is perfectly balanced. And there are for sure some specs in need of help. But then you find this…

Im still trying to get my head round this, which was announced a while back;

In Season 2, keystones will no longer “deplete,” or reduce in level, after a group fails a key, once the group has hit a competitive level (2850 rating, or completing about +10-11 difficulty dungeons). This achievement will also give higher level players that aren’t quite title-worthy something new to chase.

So the people not exactly title worthy but doing around the 14 mark are now rewarded with having something to chase by means of not depleting keys below a 12, although they are already above 12’s …

So the people asking for this feature of not depleting keys still need to endure the same pains while those who are above are the ones being targetted and it serves no purpose ? o.O
