Looking at the names of the dragons in the bronze dragonflight, it seems that the most common names have suffixes ormu/ormi, where the last letter is u for males(Nozdormu, Kairazdormu, Andormu) and i for females(Soridormi, Coridormi, Zidormi, Ziradormi). The only exception seems to be Chromie, whose real name ends with u - Chronormu.
Is this just Blizzard being inconsistent, or Chromie actually being male in dragon form?

I think blizzard dont have time update Chromie’s new model dragon.
Was lazy and copy old dragon models.

I mean, dragons seem to be able to choose which azerothian race to appear as… maybe they can also flip gender too. Why not, if it’s that easy? Take whatever form you think these adventurers are most likely to respond to

She or he is the third gender.

Chromie is a female that doesnt care about conventional naming.

Did Chromie chose her own name? Or were her parents the hip and modern type who deliberately choose a name that’s typically for the opposite gender to challenge stereotypes? Dragons be progressive!

Also I guess Chromie took “unisex” name

gnomes are more like fungus, so they don’t have actual genders. They reproduce like the fungus they are

So it looks like Blizzard made a mistake lorewise and tried to cover it.

Pretty sure she was created before there was a naming convention for dragons. So yeah even if her name doesn’t seem like it she’s still a female.

She is neither.
He doesn’t care.
Because she keeps being killed in portals.
Because I’m to slow to save him.

Absolutely disgraceful.
She obviously has no Tumblr blog because you let her die.

But she died in the future, so nothing stops her from having it in the present
