the chat is full of goldbid runs and boosts
when i said people should stop being so entitled in chat and play the game as intended i had a great amount of trashtalk whispers.i dont mind i expected it but i really hate the hypocricy
wow community:authentic experience
also wow community:goldbid runs and boosts
i really think its ignorant, hypocritical ,egoistic.i wanted to play classic and progress, not this trash.people wanted an authentic experience then procceded to rush lvl 60 in 3 days, started reserving everything and then goldbid runs and boosts started slowly at first and now is the vast majority in chat
anyways i hope not all servers are this bad,i wanted to ask if theres an active, good server that is free of those behaviors
I haven’t seen this much on Gandling theres pugs that use SR and only a few gold bid runs. I wouldn’t mind if the majority going to them earnt the gold but you know when someone is willing to splash 40k for an item that they probably swiped the credit card.
If there was no demand for boosting or gbid runs you wouldn’t see these runs advertised at all it’s simple don’t like it don’t pay the gold and don’t join them stop the supply stops the demand for boost runs really that simple.ive never paid for a boost and got along just fine
nothing stops anyone making a party of like-minded players to group up with and dungeon to level up make a group instead of crying you can’t call anyone entitled when you are trying to act entitled yourself by dictating to others on how they should play the game.everyone plays the game how they want it.
I don’t like world buffs or speed runs but some players only play for parses and speed runs so who am I to tell them how to play? This can be translated to all aspects of the game there is millions of players with different opinions on everything. Min/maxers will always min/max the fun out of everything it’s just how it is doesn’t mean you need to be a min/maxer
No, people wanted authentic servers, not authentic experience. Having authentic experience is absolutely impossible, game is 15 years old, people know everything about the game and more. If you expected authentic experience you didn’t really think this through.
no youre wrong.its like democracy.you have freedom but not unlimited freedom.your freedom stops where other peoples freedom start.we all came to classic for the authentic experience.
its innapropriate to make goldbid runs the norm.
and egoistic.the same people that rushed to 60,now are making goldbidruns and boosts to make money.the easy way ,exploiting other people, who themselfs dont mind because theyve also made tens of thousands of gold by boosts or their credit card
i wouldnt mind if it didnt affect the rest of us that want to actually play the game, but since people realised that theres money to it,started doing it themselfs,so now classic is unplayable if you dont have insane amounts of gold
this is PAY TO WIN.realise that.pay to win, like some crap mobile mmos.im not the entitled one.im rolling for my gear.they are, because they think that they can skip the game and buy the gear either by credit card,or with boosts
its pay to win clearly.but blizzard doesnt get the money.ofc im gonna tell them how to play because theyre egoistic and they ruin it for us all
the demand isnt that great either.theyre trying to form a group for ages but since theyre so greedy they keep doing it.other people see that eventually after hours of forming a group, they have a result at the end,so theyre doing it as well,no matter if people are complaining in chat.they have the chance to buy their gear/make thousands of gold easily, skipping the process
and we end up with a chat full of boosts and gbid runs
clearly a pay to win game at the end with players responsibility
This has been throughout wow this is not a new phenomenon, rich players could always pay a guild to get boosted through a raid to get any item they wanted. I even remember it as far back as tbc it’s not against any rule it’s upto the guild and players to carry them through a raid for money and how they distribute loot is their business.
People who join the gbid runs are doing it for the gold if they are geared and skint or if they are not geared and rich they have spent as much time in game i argue its harder to make the gold than it is to join a few random pug and win a roll. Simple fact is if you don’t like it don’t join them some people clearly do like it or these runs simply wouldn’t exist.
there are plenty normal pug runs with soft Res everyday why don’t you join them or make your own nobody is ruining ur experience each to their own. You say it’s like democracy but your being very un-democratic trying to dictate what is allowed and what is not just because you don’t like it.you don’t make the rules blizzard does.
The players who get paid to boost are spending their game time in the game boosting for gold as a service that others are clearly willing to pay for it’s no different than some herbalist running about picking herbs and chucking it into the ah your paying for their time and it’s supply and demand also players can spend there gold whatever they wish
You are talking about buying gold with credit cards that is clearly against the TOS and bannable so that’s on blizzard to enforce action on those accounts there is no wow token in classic so it’s not pay to win
they can easily cut down exp rates in dungeons when there’s a high level char to boost present but that doesn’t stop mages boosting themselves from 44 to 52 in ZF and then finishing it off in BRD/ZG but it would stop mages enabling everyone else to skip 10 to 60.
Almost no Gold DKP on Everlook (German PvE). I’m desperatly looking for them.
Prio3 is dominant in PUGs.
Everlook is the home of Sahne, who runs a website for prio runs.
The purpose is, so the raidleader can’t cheat the system, by picking the perfect prios.
The list is usually hidden, until first boss is down. Sometimes people leave, when the list is revealed before and their prios suck.
So until first boss is down and list is revealed, nobody knows what the others picked. Not even the raidleader.
Apparently the site is also used on foreign servers, although it’s in german.
But it’s particulary popular on Everlook, because it originated here.
It’s all “Prio3 via Sahne” here.
And boost, of course! Boost! Boost! BOOOOOOST!
You can buy tokens, then trade retail gold for classic gold.
Trading across different blizzard games is 100% legal.
For some time, you could legally make your WoW Gold to Euros, by converting it into Diablo Gold first.
Yeah, exactly.
If you want to spend 2000 Gold an hour to have an army of naked nightelves dancing and following you, that’s up to you.
Mercenary services have existed since the earliest days of WoW. But things got a bit out of control in June 2008.
I remember this very well, because I’m the one who incited this.
I used to hang arround with the alts of -in Harmony-. They got one or two EU 1st in Sunwell. And a DE 1st (World 10th) on Kil’jaeden.
My main had left the server a long time ago, because my guild crumbled to dust in early TBC. I didn’t want to move my alts because of the costs and to stay in contact with people. But I kept getting more and more jealous of the alts who where grabbing all the stuff in my main raid.
So I asked Vanion (their raidlead), how much it would cost to be the “trashcan” of -in Harmony- for a few IDs. He made me a really good offer, cuz: Connections.
I was extremely impressed by their RoS strategy. The healers didn’t heal in phase 3. Holy Priests were smiting. For a moment I was sceptical if this would work out. Then I changed my mind: “They’re Top 10. They must know their stuff.” So I did smite too. They burned through the HP of the bosses so quickly. It was really impressive. Insane min maxers.
Afterwards I had a talk on vent (discord for boomers) with Vanion.
“Duuuude, your DPS is sick. You can easily drag 5 random retards (i said exactly those 2 words) through this and sell much more items. You disenchant everything except trinkets and glaives anyway.”
“If they’re a sunwell raider like you, sure. But there aren’t many sunwell raiders on Thrall. They would surely wipe us on Teron and other bosses.”
“Just send them to die, so they can’t screw up. You don’t need their damage. Of course, you will have to play RoS how it’s supposed to be played.”
“I think we can manage that.”
Man, they kept coming and coming. Even after Vanion raised the prices by like 1000%.
I was the only one who still only had to pay the old prices. Connections are awesome.
Vanion quickly got into legal trouble, because he copied the design of kik (german clothes discounter).
kiHk - Worlds first T6 discounter. xD
Other german top guilds quickly noticed what Vanion was doing. I think -For the Horde- where the first to copy it and openly advertise their mercenary services. It spread like a wildfire on german servers. Every guild who was capable of such a thing, would do so. Everyone wanted a piece of the pie. Sell T6 tokens to morons for 5k each. ROFLMAO!
Then Nihilum, Method and others noticed, what the germans where doing. So they copied it.
During WotLK the system was established pretty much everywhere. I didn’t expect it to spread like that.
Yeah I remember seeing those black temple boost runs as well.there is a great deal of risk trading currency across different games and blizzard developer has already said that it is indeed against the rules to do this it’s on us forums here
Q: What is the stance on people trading gold from Classic realms for gold on BfA realms and vice versa? I hope this will not only be an unsupported trade, but actually against rules and a bannable offense. If people can trade gold between the two versions of the game, then they can still effectively buy gold by selling a WoW token on BfA servers and then trading the gold.
A: There is no direct means for characters in BfA to transfer gold to characters in WoW Classic. This would be highly disruptive for Classic as the economies of these two games are very different.
Gold exchange between players in WoW is subject to our terms of service. Purchase of gold from 3rd parties could lead to suspension or banning of accounts.
The problem is the nefarious ways of bringing in gold via botting but then again that’s on blizzard to crack down on but in essence wow classic the stand alone game you cannot simply buy gold like a wow token it’s not pay to win
