Whether people agree or disagree is utterly irrelevant. If you make a thread wherein you whine about something; be it a legitimate concern or something miniscule, youâve made a whine thread.
Iâve posted no ideas here, as of yet.
And youâre wrong. My vision of Classic is simple, a player controlâd classic where Blizzard donât interfere and donât try to change the way that people interact with one another.
What I wanted was the game in itâs purest form. As Classic as you can get.
Retail. Turns out that if you realm transfer your character, your forum activity is completely reset. Even though this character was Miylee-Darksorrow, Miylee-Darksorrowâs posting history exists under a different alias.
And FYI, youâre in no position to call anybody toxic. Each of our arguments were your fault, and this thread itself is yet another bait where you insult gameplay styles that donât suit you.
Example:
And once again Azzul; put a space after a full stop. Like this.
Irony and hypocrisy are two words that Azzul never understood.
QFT. While Classic meta (class stack / boost / gdkp P2W / gold buyers) is total trash, retail is even worse. With tradechat being spammed 24/7 by boost / mount sellers (supplied by courtesy of Blizz tokens).
Both iterations of the games are 100% P2W atm. But it is a business model based on mobile gaming. It works considering last quarter report for activlizz.
It is still possible to play the game normally, but you wonât be able to compete.
Classic is definately not pay to win there is no wow token. Buying gold online or trading gold from retail to classic is 100% bannable.
Buying the items on gdkp run is just the same as buying the item with dkp itâs just a different medium of loot distribution one rewards players for raiding continually the other rewards the player who wins the bid in gold which gets distributed to everyone both sernarios everyone has participated in the actual raid.
Not everyone who goes to these runs are botters and gold buyers both would get banned from blizzard most are just gold farmers who join a run to the get last items and others are skint who just want the gold.
The best loot system is one thatâs not manipulated by players but it takes a raid of people who are clued up on what is a good upgrade and what is not.
Lot of players in WoW classic are adults going back for nostalgic reasons, but not the time available they had when playing vanilla as school kids.
I know back then I played 5 hours a day easily, doing alts, pvp and raiding. But now with work and other responsibilities I barely get enough time to raid log and some farming.
Classic requires a lot of grinding, so it is not weird people are doing much more gold buying, boosts and things like that, simply to experience everything but without having to put in the time it would require.
I choose to just stick with one level 60 and going trough all content with that one, skipping other classes and PvP this time. Others choose to speed up the process using other methods. And again others do have the time to go trough everything the ânormalâ way. To each their own.
Not saying everyone is a botter but in my experience from 2 big servers (Mograine / Pyrewood) from the big gold farmers you will find 4 categories:
Herb bot / multibox for lotus. Mostly rogues / hunters
Mage boosting: fly hack in ZG (those are mostly banned i think), Maraudon boosters (legit players BUT the gold they charge is often bought with cash), orb farming groups bots.
BRD pick pocket bots running 24/7 rogues.
Fishing bots.
Those are the source of the gold spent / redistributed in GDKP runs. So AFAIK it is mostly indirectly connected to botting / gold buying. Hence P2W.
But like I said, it is just my experience. Blizz should issue permabans for gold buying / botting. If they did a good chunk of the âhardcoreâ pop would disappear overnight. So that will never happen. Hence the laissez-faire of Blizz regarding those issues.
It is definately pay to win.no matter how you wanna call it or justify it ,at the end you pay (gold which either comes from botting, boosting or gold sites, bannable or not) to win(buy gear with gold to get the edge over other players much faster)
You can even buy a token in retail and transfer the money to classic with the help of another player
Its not a direct pay to win .but the result is the same thus you can call it like that.its a workaround
You can say that about any game then since any game can be hacked it or botted if you pay for the hack the game is pay to win every single online game is now pay to win.
No server is entirely free from those miserable sweatlords. I have heard that Firemaw is probably the worst realm as far as boosts etc. go. Earthshaker was also weird, when I had a brief look there a while back.
