Oh i dont mind that ppl that never played back then dont take me seriously. It is the same ppl that “want it as it was” and scream and cry about RDF was a core Wrath feature.
I mean it is like listening to some blue haired female at the age of 13 screaming about communism being the best ideology for everyone.
And they knew they where not ready with Cata at that time and had nothing else planned for Wrath. In the end they had to add the one boss in Ruby Sanctum to keep some players from leaving the game.
Nothing i said contradicts anything else. You just have to low IQ to understand what is being written. Nothing wrong with having a low IQ but going in to a discussion where you dont even understand the arguments might not be the best idea.
Hey Gramps, did you bail out of the care facility again?
You really have to take your meds. Last time you were driving your rollator on the highway completely naked. And 5 Cop cars were chasing you.
Please go back to the care facility and take your meds again.
Yea, that gave you a report.
JI kind of agree with OP here. I don’t see how what we have now (which is LFG channel) is any more social than having RDF. You can’t make people be social anyways (by not implementing RDF), if they don’t want to be. Just my 2 cents.
For the millionth time, if players were educated on the tools currently available for dungeon grouping, then you don’t ever have to filter though the chat that goes in the LFG channel, nor be present in the channel to begin with.
I’ll explain how, when you have an addon like LFG Bulletin, let’s say you are forming a group. First remove yourself from the LFG channel and never join that channel again. Then you write your search message in the LFG (YES! you can still send messages into the LFG channel EVEN when you’re not part of it), anyone with the LFG Addon will instantly pick up your search by receiving a notification on the bulletin board based on the dungeons they have filtered, or any sucker still lingering in that LFG channel spam fiesta The same vice versa if you’re looking for a group, LFG bulletin will instantly pick up when someone else writes LFG message and you’ll be notified accordingly! Hope this helps, and hope as much people as possible read this! YOU DON’T NEED TO JOIN LFG CHANNEL EVER AGAIN! Life is good
Yea well. There’s one big flaw in your argument. I’m not in LFG channel. The spam in trade and general chat is insane there as well, and for diff reasons I want to be in those channels.
And no, I don’t want another addon. Certainly not one that imo should never ever be needed just to be able to join dungeons/groups.
I still love people saying that spamming LFG in the channels is more social than RDF.
Literally most dungeons are just “Hi” then “GG/Cheers/Thanks” etc.
Nowdays yes. Not in P1 and P2 however.
It was exactly the same throughout TBC.
No it was not.
I think banning all gold boosts should be absolutely top priority for WOTLK before it cripples new and startup guilds.
I think people forget that classic Wow is supposed to be an MMORPG, not a queue and teleport me to instance game.
If you want that, then you have retail.
If you dislike the community and it’s garbage standards, then build your own community.
I helped build a community on a low populated server and we are not plagued by issues on large servers. We help and support each other on the journey.
We’re having loads of fun.
In my opinion, there is no need for RFD.
RDF was introduced back because social aspect already left the building , not vice versa. Today is much worse ,thus RDF should not be a problem, actually it is a remedy.
I appreciate the effort you put into writing your posts, and that you’ve maintained a rather civil tone throughout. You put words on thoughts and feelings I share. So thank you for that. Sadly, we’ve been arguing with people whose minds are not receptive to perspectives or ideas that counter their own. We’re painted as “selfish”; as villains who only seek to control others whereas they themselves are the good guys who champions “everyone’s right to enjoy the game”!
Catering to everyone is exactly what retail has attempted to do and I think you’ll agree that it has been successful in that regard. A much more diverse playerbase is able to enjoy Retail than Classic. Retail caters to:
- the hardcore pve playerbase (in terms of mythic raids).
- the average pve playerbase (mythic dungeons, flexible raids).
- the casual pve playerbase (heroic dungeons and LFR).
- the hardcore pvp playerbase (in terms of arenas and ranked battlegrounds).
- the casual pvp playerbase (in terms of regular battlegrounds).
- the solo player (in terms of streamlined content where the player is the protagonist of the story).
- the completionists (in terms of achievements, and other collectibles such as mounts and pets).
- the roleplayer (it hurts me to include this one but there are a lot of fun items in the game that can be used for roleplaying, and of course transmogrification).
- The people who have never ever played a game before in their entire lives.
Retail casts a very wide net. However it does not cater to everyone. The people looking for a more social experience is going to struggle in retail, and although I could elaborate on this I don’t really think there’s a point to it because you yourself have already done so – eloquently, I might add!
So let me instead add this to the conversation: whether you prefer the gameplay (i.e. class abilities/class balance/dungeon design) of WLK over retail is irrelevant to the discussion of the Dungeon Finder. Blizzard themselves stated:
Your preference in terms of gameplay does not matter. The only thing that matters is this nebulous concept of the “Classic spirit”. If you want to put up a real defense for the Dungeon Finder then you can’t use hyperbolic nonsense such as “no one is social in Classic anyways” or the somewhat more meritable argument of “I want WLK exactly the way WLK was”. Because these arguments do not change the fact that the Dungeon Finder goes against “that Classic feel”. If you want to put up a real defense for the Dungeon Finder then you’ll have to explain how the Dungeon Finder might maintain this Classic feel.
I was content just lurking in the thread, enjoying your pathetic trolling being dismantled by several people, but that comment made me go back and actually report every post where you call people cretins. I think a time out will do you some good, gramps.
How else should Nikkyblond show of the newly learned word? XD
Funny how difference of opinion is now trolling. But hye, live in your protected boubble if you want. However it does explain a lot why you pro-RDF ppl think that a majority wants RDF.
If you dont like wotlk features being in wotlk then go to retail … I heard they have manual groups there and its sooo much fun …
