Ignoring the fact that GD doesnt really need an MVP they should at least lead by example and not mock people or play police. Not to mention the drama that comes with saying any negative towards them even when it’s hardly a negative or a personal attack in this case.
So while it wasn’t very extreme now theres still a pattern of behavior. The double standard is what annoys people and it should stop.
Flagging for the wrong reasons has become a huge problem here.

Personally I don’t see where the mocking was but fair if you interpret it like that.
The policing is exactly what leading by example is though, saying that something is wrong and why is literally what that means but I suppose if you intended it to be done a different way I’d be curious.
See this is why it can get pretty bad because this is a social forum which means it abides to the laws of social behaviour, this will always result is some form of double standard, this is visile in our every day to day, where they run rampant but are seen as alright because we can justify them.
In this case because one is a known and appreciated member of the community and the other is a standard part of the community.
It’s simply how it will be, therre is borderline no way to make it better in that regard unless you were to so heavily police the forums that no one could show their their appreciation for another poster or disagreement with another.
That is true but that has nothing to do with someone being mvp or a regular.

No matter what you do as an MVP you are damned if you do, damned if you don’t.
I do not have any moderation powers, I can not police anything. I can flag like any other poster. There is no double standard, we all have access to the same things (flagging etc), and we are all bound by the same rules.
One thing will always be true. Some will go out of their way to pick on MVP status or anything they say. It’s par for the course. I saw MVPs being attacked for no apparent reason before I agreed to become one. Some people are just unreasonable.
