No. There is no such motive there.
Blizz is in California, the hive for these ideologies. People don’t have real problems so they come up with these things to complain about.
If you look at some devs twitter then you can see how they are neck deep into this worldview.
Again, it’s only the loud minority there as well. Most don’t care about it, they don’t complain because if they voiced any concern they’d get persecuted and fired for being a bigot. They just want to do their job, while some others believe that this game is their personal platform to spew their worldviews at everyone.
I don’t even understand how this is even allowed. If I was tweeting and publicly talking about my company, I’d be fired on the spot. I’m not allowed to post, comment or anything that can be assumed to be the opinion of my employer.
Maybe Europe is just different in this.

I couldn’t care less about this particular topic, albeit it struck me as odd in a sense. This does set a precedent for future woke, lbgt stuff and/or political things that might get added in games like WoW. We cater too much to a too small a minority.
Lets keep this seperate shall we? This is not a new game, lets not change it.
Add this stuff in D4 for all i care, at least it would be a new game and you could make an argument for “new time”, new game.

You are kinda right, they did remove portaits and stuff that was ingame for a decade or more and replaced it with pics of fruits.
So far, this does not concern me really, but the question becomes where does it end? And nobody woke or anti woke seems to be concerned with this.
And changing /whistle falls into the same “cater to the twitter mob” category.
