Can’t believe people making a huge deal for small visual (not even visual just %0.1 of a visual) changes when theres literally GDKP’s ruining the core of the game…

I don’t mind this change at all. But what you say can be said the other way around too. If someone can’t handle male and female body, then they are really sensitive too.

I agree, as to why, the reasons are public knowledge by now, or should be if this subject concerns you. Oh wait, it’s coming to a World of Warcraft near you so it concerns every player now. It affects everyone because we now have to deal with it every time we log in and is not just something to ignore. We won’t be able to communicate without having the off-chance of upsetting someone with a mere word, a pronoun or saying female/male. Everything is everything. A banana is a tree and a tree is a banana. Who needs words, right? Yes means no, and no means yes. And yes, it’s still a video game.

For all it is, it is a big deal. The majority - those who aren’t just following the leader - either don’t care about this change, or they do. I for one do because it’s purely politically motivated, doesn’t belong in WoW as a game, doesn’t actually accomplish anything other than annoying players, and more to the point it was NOT in WOTLK.
There’s nothing they can do to stop GDKP runs btw, GDKP was seen as unethical back in the day and the majority were very against the idea, not now though because people now are…well everyone who knows knows, It’d be deemed offensive if I said anything else.

I will say that those saying “it doesn’t impact anything as it’s down to RP” - could you not RP your body type before hand, or were those people just incapable? It seems like a lot of the pro voices here deem it’s fine as it’s now down to the RP - but it’s RP… you can be anything you want regardless of what the game told (It goes both ways). People found a way to ERP in Goldshire, I’m pretty sure they could find a way to have navigated genders without a change. And it might be a pointless ‘small’ change, but it doesn’t make it a step in the right direction when it’s a game and not real life. Leave our Orcses (and other races) alone.
Saying that, I would love to see Bearded Dwarf Females, given it’s actually included in their lore in a lot of sources. #BeardThatFemale

Great to see this being made, simply for people like me who are not interested in going along with the virtue signalling nonsense.
I recently made a post which has now been ‘silenced’ from the forums regarding add-ons that can allow players to just play WOTLK classic without the current political woke yack rotting the experience.
Unfortunately others pointed out the part that really matters, which is the actual character creation screen, can’t be altered through add-on means.
Some might consider it a mad thing to depart the game and stop paying the company over this single problem, but alas, lines must be drawn.
Hope all those who enjoy the classic game for what it was, when it was at its peak and truly great, still can. It’s just a shame for me that it’s tainted to a point that makes me turn away.
Edit: Just to say, as someone who loves greek mythology, your name is truely epic, haha!

Just unsub if you don’t like selecting a male/female body without the text implying what you are selecting. The most idiotic thing one can do is to get extremely upset about this but still keep paying Blizzard and subscribing. It’s not that hard. Don’t like it? Don’t play it.

Except genders have been in the game from day 1 and is an important part of role playing fantasy. Now that has been intentionally removed by Blizzard.
In our part of the world we stand up for freedom of choice and everyone’s right to be themselves. If that’s not sitting well for you I’m sure you are welcome in Russia or China instead. There is the door → [_]

Easy solution detected: Delete the words. We don’t need them at all in the make a caracter screen. You clikc the button, you see the result. For once the words are really superfluous, so instead of annoying us all with this BT (body types) or any other 
just delete the words.

Isn’t one of the main criticisms with China and Russia and other such countries is that they enforce their ideology with no room for freedom? Arguably this decision isn’t that far off as it removes any notion of free choice. There’d be better ways allowing you to express freedom, than pandering to one group or the other.

That’s exactly my point. Instead of removing genders and adding the generic body type choices Blizzard should have kept the gender buttons and just add the body types alongside them. Or add a neutral icon and if that is pressed, sub options body 1 and 2. That way no one is excluded

It’s idiotic to give feedback to Blizzard? Players are directed these forums, described as feedback forums by GMs, to give feedback. I think one of the most idiotic things one can do, is to say nothing about an issue that is bothering them, to give up, to be passive and agreeable. Also to post on a feedback forum criticising someone for doing so. Don’t like it? Don’t post.

This is sensible, but I’m sure a lot of people here would still have found the very notion of body type 1 and 2 buttons offensive nonetheless, for the sheer fact that it “breaks their escapism” by reminding them of this “woke stuff”.
The main criticism in this sense about China and Russia is that they enforce an ideology - a set of traditional values about how people should carry on with their lives, even in parts of life that are not the business of anyone but the people themselves. Even stuff like homosexuality for example is outright illegal in Russia simply because it clashes with their “traditional” values. That’s how idiotic they are about this.

It’s not that it’s offensive, that’s the wrong word to use, it’s an unnecessary change and one that was not there in WOTLK originally. They went out of their way to change those icons for a reason, and the reason is linked to real life and the potential for what else they’ve changed, or will change in the future, and that’s what bothers the people it bothers.
