It feels like Blizzard doesn't even care

You say it was coincidental, I say it wasn’t. Cringe changes that none announced and only 30% of whiners who asked for them were very common in retail expansion and so in all those era changes. Its mostly people who dont even play this game rather spend time on forums ranting for changes arent playing game in long term.

Era is way too cost effective in maintance and it was. They didnt have to do anything keep it running just paying servers maitenance. They dont even have active GMs for it. Wherefore SOD is template of classic and retail but still not as much cost effective as ERA. Doesnt mater if era has much less players than SOD, because ERA wasnt supposed to be overcrowded project as it would not be good for others today’s standardized lame products of Blizzard. However they still kept it around even first year after Fresh ended it was completly dead comparing last 1.5-2 years. Simple as that Blizz want those players around who pay subs for ERA, because they realizing they loosing player base and fans over the years. What they not realizing is why they loosing them. Same as why you guys cant realize why some of us play only ERA being only game played from Blizzard on our account.
So please dont do your lame statistical logic arguments especially if dont you play ERA. We are not interested into that crap. We here to move forward and reverse changes on ERA classic.

That’s not something common for a playerbase to ask not to touch a game AT ALL, and let it the way it is, without the devs doing anything.

No work, and easy money.

Even in that, they fail.
These guys are genuinely awesome.

That’s not completely true.

They have to update the backend. No way they can stay on the same platform forever (including databases). When they do this, every now and then background stuff will fail and needs to be taken care of.

Same thing on the client side.

So there is maintenance. But they are making a profit. Otherwise they would either stop doing it altogether or increase the payments.

I love that alliance now have a world buff! Makes the game more fun for alliance tbh

Well, 15 years of decisions brought the trust levels to a lowpoint back in 2019.

I do not think anything that has happened ever since has increased those trust levels.

I wonder though, how much money did the company make out of 2019’s Vanilla release? Wasn’t it a lot?

Do they really need to go back to the usual ways, even in the face of Vanilla no changes having had the massive amount of success it did?

Is this a case of “actionism” on their part?
