We absolutely need WOTLK Servers, it is an endgame of whole Classic Saga.
Keeping WOTLK Servers will definately improve WOW Community, and will keep many players. Cataclysm is not classic, it is closer to retail expansion. It’s okay to have cata, but why would you take away WOTLK from us? I am so frustrated… Hope BLIZZARD will keep some WOTLK servers
I have been busy with other stuff in the past year and I find it almost cruel that WotLK Classic will be taken away from us soon. Some people have not had a chance to play it yet and future generations of players will never get the chance at all.
There will ALWAYS be demand for WotLK servers just like there is demand for Vanilla. I see no reason why it wouldn’t be possible to maintain one or two realms per region for the most popular expansion of all time.
The entire WoW Classic brand would be better off if people could forever choose a specific era to play in. I’m sure there’s enough demand for a TBC realm too. Blizzard might be worried about splitting the player base but people who want to play WotLK are either going to find a private server to do it (denying Blizz a subscription) or they’re still going to play Cataclysm or retail WoW alongside their Wrath characters anyway.
The low maintenance of simply keeping a couple servers online is definitely worth it given the demand. I’m shocked they’re planning to just force people’s characters into Cataclysm. Classic is all about staying blissfully frozen in our favourite time periods. Otherwise it’s just retail with a time delay.
Well that’s it. Just logged in for the very last time dumped all my gold in the guild bank, and there was quite a lot - that should make our GM happy, and have uninstalled the game.
It’s over, but I had a good run. Still got a couple of months left on my sub, but meh! Can’t bear to play anymore knowing I’m on borrowed time, there’s better games out there.
So long and thanks for all the fish.
Totally can relate this feel.
I am so proud the people have their desires clear.
I think is ridiculous make this disclaimer; “No, I am not saying that ppl that continue playing are dumbs or something like that.
The thing is I know that exist people that dont like many things and are conformist and still playing because they consider their desires are dumb and the corrects are the decisions made for the companies.”
I strongly want to second this. The main selling (playing? engaging?) point of “classic” is … just that. The world before the great Cataclysm. To preserve the classic vanilla experience is something many people desired. So many, in fact, that it was the start for this entire journey in the first place. But I, and many others, enjoy the rich, vast, perfectly groomed and polished experience of late-stage-WotLK. It is the most fully-fledged, most complete evolutionary stage of the original world. The tuning of the progression pace is a blissful balance of enjoying the world and progressing through it, one character after the other. To me, and many others, it is perfect:
- The Old World as it was in the beginning (Vanilla)
- The Old World in its most advanced form (WotLK Classic)
- The New World in the classic progression (Cata Classic and beyond)
- The New World today (‘Retail’)
+1 for WOLTK servers. Subcribed when TBC was out and waited for WOLTK and if there will be no WOLTK servers I will just cancel subscription and never return. Retails is ok, but I’m overwhelmed all the time there with some things I don’t even know what they are.
I also prefer old type talent trees and specs.
I started playing wow at the end of TBC and majority of peak wow game time was during WOLTK for me. After that our guild just shattered and people went with their own lives. WOLTK bring back so many good memories…
I would love wrath era servers. It has always been my favourite expansion and I’ve never managed to tire of the content. My memories of Cata onwards was seeing a dwindling population and it just wasn’t as enjoyable.
Tout a fait d’accord laissez nous un serveur woltk classic. Nous ne voulons pas aller sur des serveur privée
We all agree here we need some WOTLK servers, if ppl love to play cata go on cata but leave me to play my favorite expansion ever. If blizzard dont want money, population and other things then go on cata and lose all of this things.
0 reason to keep wrath servers. they are dead already you only see mining/herbing bots.
Just give people what they want Blizzard! There is a large community that wants to preserve Wrath of the Lich King realms and some that want to play only Wotlk. Why lose those monthly subs? In my opinion is really bad for business. I don’t know what pols you got your idea of moving on to Cataclysm from but do your research and learn about your dedicated Wotlk community. Thanks.
Totally relatable
You mean 10 people using alts on the forums and another 20 on Reddit?
Their polls and data have both a vastly higher number of participants and are much more closely representative of the classic community at large. The vocal echo chambers rearing up right now with tons of alts and sealioning aren’t representative of anything but a very loud but small extreme minority.
I don’t. I think they’d be even more dead then era, which is already pretty dead.
Seems like you’re dead inside mate kekw
Call era “pretty dead” era classic server, shows either how lost you are on discussion or simply you are just trolling on forums
It would be foolish for Blizzard to not leave Lich King Servers open after the Cataclysm update. Like many of us, I’ve played all my life Lich King Private Servers and I have DREAMED of playing Lich King in Blizzard. This has always been my dream, when the Classic servers were announced, I was thrilled! I waited so long for the Lich King Classic and I had an awesome time playing it! That is EVERYTHING I’ve ever wanted from Blizzard and the community is unanimous: Please Leave The Lich King Servers Open!
I still belive Blizzard would make the right decision that’s plain obvious…
They already said they’re not planning to. It’s not impossible but I wouldn’t bet on it.
Yes keep it
Dont allow your desired bait you
