I’ve made a perdition on the US wow forums… I’ve said that the US will get 2-4 WoTLk realms as the rest of the realms will turn over into the reboot of Cata. As for UK, They might get stand alone WoTLK realms but not as many. otherwise if you’re wanting to play WoTLK only, you’ll have to do so on Private servers.

It’s funny how you all claim cata is bad but none of you knows why, I think you guys have a Lichking issue maybe they should remove Deathwing and replace him with Lichking in Dragonsoul I bet then Cata will be the best “Classic” expansion out there they can do it for Mop,Drenor,etc
PS:Most of you don’t even play the game and just go to the forums and cry about random stuff

OP here using proper character.

WOTLK servers staying up could be like they did with Classic Era when TBC released, all on one server, but with different realm names associated. Many players do not want to move on to Cataclysm, and it’s important for us to voice our opinion to get blizzard to cater to us. I really don’t want to head back to WOTLK Private servers such as ***mane.

Why do you even care about the world if the world in wrath is dead? No one is even in Azeroth and most people just sit in Dalaran when it’s time for raid.

What do you expect from these people? They just join the hate train cause they changed Azeroth and yet no one in wrath even spends time in Azeroth. Wotlk classic just proved how overrated Wotlk was as an expansion. There’s literally no content, raids are a joke and even arena is really bad. All you do is face the same 2/3 comps 24/7.

I care, because I like play Wrath, and can’t when Cata come – I WON’T play and have my world ruined once again, /no.

So either way, you won’t have me to play with you in Cata. Now I just stay HC and leave Wratk characters untouched, hoping – in vain, i fear – to one day have Blizz wiser and give back Wrath (and BC)

I like everyone to have the WoW they like, is why I ask for all 3 Classics to have Era servers - and HC to stay.

I know very well why I dislike Cata: The old world redesign. I exclusively enjoy leveling and questing in the open world, and Cata’s redesign didn’t sit well with me for many reasons.

That been said, I don’t think I’d call it objectively bad, I’m not qualified enough to make such a statement. I just don’t like it on a personal level.

By now im pretty sure all the alts you would play are 80 which means you will never go back in those zones

No, I’m not playing WotLK. I didn’t like it much even back in the day, for some reason it didn’t click with me then and it didn’t click with me now either. I’m playing on Era.

But that been said, I tend to create alts in every expansion - or pick up abandoned alts. For example, I made a Pala and Shaman in TBCC, and a DK and Hunter in WotLKC (none of which hit max level). Which would mean that even in Cata I would create - or pick up - alts. Especially with Troll and Worgen Druids arriving.

I know I’m in a vast minority here - but I also know what I like in WoW… And unfortunately, the Cata redesign is not for me. That’s not to say that I wouldn’t try Cata Classic, especially since I have Era for my WoW “fix”… I’d play on Alliance side though because I’m not emotionally invested in their leveling experience the way I am with Horde.

Ideally, we’d have a single PvE and PvP server for each Classic expansion, with free character cloning (not the shameless cash grab they did for TBCC), and all of us would be enjoying the Classic versions we prefer, but that’s not gonna happen unfortunately.

Brother I think you have a leveling addiction that is not good, in everygame not just WoW the important thing is the endgame not some random zones you will spend 30min questing in

To each his own. I don’t like raiding and I’m no longer interested in PvP, so in WoW endgame means nothing to me. It’s all about existing in the world for me, and I prefer its older implementation.

EDIT: You’re not wrong about my leveling (and alt) addiction though - I’ve got over 50 hours in Baldur’s Gate 3 and don’t have a single character over lvl 3 because I keep changing my class

Cata’s redesign didn’t sit well with me for many reasons

I am curious, what are those reasons? I used to feel the same but after a while I came around and now I can’t really stand to level in 1-60 aside from a few precious zones like Westfall (which I agree was downgraded in Cata).

As we all know, Vanilla is the most popular expansion for Private servers, followed by WOTLK.

This is largely due to ease of emulation, not because wotlk is specifically super popular
