Yes, we do have the Keyring coming to WoW Classic. It won’t be available at launch, but it will be added in the first patch.
We don’t yet have a timeframe for the first patch.
The Keyring should function as it did in original WoW 1.12, with the same capacity and key compatibility.

Joke’s on you, the new content release isn’t a new patch, so keyring is gonna be added later this year.
I know, it sucks.
By this thinking we won’t get it until we get to BfA content since everything is just old stuff.
Thats not the case, the game gets patched over time, and the client version we’re playing atm isnt the same that used to be at launch.
I am not a fan of storing keys in my bags.
So it’s been patched then.

I could think of a few words, incompetence, lazyness, or perhaps it’s the “too big to fail” attitude they have? 
A good mixture of the 3 with a small addition of: “We don’t want to help Classic because our (aka BfA) game is better” attitude.

Apparently “unlocking content” is not the same thing as “patch”, and a keyring requires a patch. There was a blue response that it will come before the end of the year iirc, so 5 weeks left tops. I wouldn’t be surprised if it comes on Dec 10 with first 2 BGs.
I suppose the “hotfixes” they’ve pushed aren’t the same thing as a “patch” either
But in all honesty, it’s stupid and ridiculous. They basically removed this feature which makes little impact on gameplay, only to re-add it in the “future”.
