As the title says, a lot of warriors and hunters are rolling on leather items like mask of the unforgiven or the Tarnished elven ring and many more…
As a rogue i have the feeling that those are rogue/ferals priority items and not warriors or hunters. I mean , i cannot roll on plate or mail after all.

Such I vanilla itemization. Many of the bis items for a warrior is leather, and it is 100% accepted by the community that dps warrior are indeed allowed to roll on these items.
Same goes for holy paladins and cloth items.

Nothing you can do about, nobody will give you prio over those items.

There are plenty things i could do, like forming grp without dps warriors or by reserving items but that’s not the case. Aren’t there plate items that are equally good?
Well yeah that you can do.
You won’t change people’s minds though.
There isn’t a whole bunch of hit/crit gear available in plate.
So they have to look for mail/leather.
Just play clothie and u dont have to deal with it ur just gonna roll with mage priest and lock
I congratulate them for their rolls, like I do with my fellow rogues.
This debate is as old as WoW. If you don’t want people to roll against you, just party with people that won’t roll against you. Like with any other aspect of group PvE or PvP it’s all about finding players that share your view of the game. If you don’t find any, tough luck.

I dont agree with your thinking, its out dated. BiS is just that, Best in Slot, and allot of times that is leather for both DPS warriors and Hunters, maybe even Shaman and Paladins.
When people argue they should get X items cause im an X wearer, i just hear “me, me, me, mine, mine, mine”

OP is a retail newb. There is no forfeit for wearing the “wrong” type of armour so some from other types is BiS.

The problem is that people are optimizing their dps and then crying MC is too easy. Blizzard obviously did not design these items to be used by warriors, but… we can´t really prevent them from using them…

MC is too easy because of the patch we’re playing.
Fire res hardly even matters.
Look at older threads.
Tanking raggy would, according to some, require a base of 320+ fire res.
Yet people are doing fine with less than 100.

It has made me dislike warriors. The leather items is not relevant to me but plenty of stolen caster weapons.
the itemization in classic makes sometimes (most of the time actually) very little sense. The best items fury warriors can get before raids are in many cases not plate.
Some examples:
Head - Mask of the unforgiven
Shoulders - Truestrike
Chest - BRD Mail chest
Hands & Legs - Devilsaur
and so on…
You shouldn’t really look at the armor type, rather the stats on it. And for sure a ring isn’t a leather item, you are just being greedy at this point.

I can understand how someone feels that this scenario is a bit unfair.
And Restoration Druids, Restoration/Elemental Shamans and Holy Paladins.

That’s how it is. There is no plate item that even comes close to for example truestrike shoulders.

Why does it matter, whether a warrior uses plate or leather or freaking cloth? It does not detract from their DPS one bit.
This was changed in… TBC? WoTLK? Where you get a 5% stat buff for having the “correct” armour in all slots.
But in vanilla, there’s no reason not to roll on leather and mail as a Warr / Paladin. Yeah ok you lose a bit of armor. But you are not the tank 
If it’s an upgrade, it’s an upgrade.
No they dont need cloth they have leather mail plate and s lock only need shadow spell dmg so i only roll with shadow priest masters of shadow unite
