How do you know that those people are in favor with AP and the rest of the RNG systems. We have had only one expansion that was considered a success under that philosophy and that was Legion, and like I explained for me Legion was good despite those systems because in the end it’s positives outweighed them. I didn’t really like them and they didn’t add to my gaming experience, more of an annoyance in fact.
By the what Blizzard have reported DF isn’t bleeding subs like BfA and SL, so it’s clearly doing something right. The problem is why isn’t it selling. The people I have asked why haven’t they purchased DF all said that it was due to the fact that Df is just one good/decent expansion and there is no guarantee that the next one/s won’t be bad. BfA killed a lot of guilds for me due to these systems (and I am not talking about raiding guilds, ranging from really casual social guilds to Mythic raiding guilds across multiple characters), SL almost made me quit for good.
Same.
That’s complete BS, Golden worked on SL and a lot of that “story” completely contradicted her previous work, idk if she was the one who wrote said parts of said “story” but having her there and not confirming about the events is just as bad.
You can go and read all of his “classes are the same because of shared magic schools” rant, I think I provided enough content there XD.
I really enjoyed legions artefact weapon system.
I like getting AP.
I loved titan forging.
I feel dragonflight has failed world orientated players like myself in a myriad of ways.
However i am really optimistic for TWW.
With them adding delves and making world content an actual fully dedicated pillar of end game content, i feel they have actually listened and taken on board the feedback.
I dont want to get my hopes too high, but maybe they have found a way to make players of all types happy.
And im so here for it.
I’m on the fence on this one. SL lore still exists and TWW and at least TLT will be a continuation of that stuff (3D printers and cosmic Robot people). And the other thing is that Metzen will be in charge of the narrative but Denuser will be writing it.
I am skeptical tbh. Regardless how good or bad Chris is. He is still one man. Even if he was the most enlightened WoW visionary with the best ideas since sliced bread…
He still needs to convince the investors or board or whatever to go along with his ideas.
Blizzard may have brought him back but that doesnt mean they gave him full reign and “we will accept and confirm whatever idea you got” card.
The only way you can screw us over (other than terrible class design, like in Legion) is by forcing us to play non-PvP content. This problem has been solved in Dragonflight.
I really like doing world content, and legions world quests were the best version of them in the game.
Lots of quick mini quests all next to each other.
AP kept doing them relevant through the whole life cycle of the expansion.
Even if the rewards werent all that good otherwise, and you had all the rep.
They half have a similar system with flightstones, but its not really the same as its all tied to what crests you have available.
Its not all towards one goal with clear checkpoints.
Also needing to do like 20 world quests for 3 ilvl on 1 bit of gear feels a lot less satisfying in general.
They killed off having lots of world quests each day too. So thats an obstacle as well.
Its not so much that they removed these systems thats the problem, its that they did not put anything good in their place.
But hey, TWW looks like it could alleviate all issues there. Im hopeful for the future of the game.
So for example you would be ok if we had the current system where you can upgrade your crests, but with added more WQs, lets say for example we go back to the daily rotation instead of the bi-weekly one.
Yeah that would massively improve dragonflight for me.
That way you can pick and choose what ones to do each day, while also making sure there are things to do each day.
I see what you’re doing here.
From MY perspective: They’re finally fixing what was holding DF back. Finally making world content relevant and give it its rightful spot as a true endgame activity.
So no… Not because of the foundations. But because of finally admitting their wrongdoings.
