Up until around level 50, I stacked Stamina and Intellect on my hunter, because those were the only stats that increased the numbers I could see on my screen.
I made a hunter.
Was this your first video game?
Anyway, I didnāt know turning with the right mouse removed you from feign death; often I would cast it while holding the right camera and as soon as I let go I would stand and be confused.
I used a limited invulnerability potion against a mage, on two separate occasions.
I forgot to loot Rendās head, Scryerās head and it took 3 full MC clears to collect the 4 hands.
Is all stuff from WoW Classic, as I was new to the game in 2008.
with classic. its selling quest items, looking for horse points that are not there and cursing at the distance from graveyard to rezzing point. But loving it all.
The times I sell a quest item from my bags, they are too many
And when I tried Classic the first day, I had some toubles talking to NPCās⦠You have to right click in Classic, it took me forever to get the first quest when I entered
was a 60 priest, crap computer, couldnt pvp, raid etc, i had a guild and a friend in it and asked if i could try out Zul Gurub to see if my computer could handle it. They said yes and i was holy ofc! after first boss they asked if i really was holy, i was like⦠ofc!! and then they asked how much pluss healing i had, i was like⦠eeeeeeeh⦠pluss what? xD
First ones that come to mind are:
-After realizing the Auction Houses were separate from each other, thinking I could make a decent profit by using the opposite factionās AHās (an idea that was heavily encouraged in the trade channel, btw). So I optimistically set out from SW to Orgrimmar!
Was somewhere in Durotar when it occurred to me that I wouldnāt be able to actually interact with the Horde auctioneersā¦
-this little screenshot from my first attempt at kiting Drakki⦠https://i.imgur.com/OglNyJl.jpg
-keeping every āspecialā item I got, like Dartolās Rod of Transformation, numerous vanity pets, tabards, or anything that would change my look, add a visual effect, or do something remotely funny or interesting. I did not have a lot of free space in my bank or bags.
I didnāt know mail took 1 hour to arrive, I was so worried I typed the wrong name
Well I cant top the dumbmeter here, butā¦
My first ever 60 - i dinged it completely solo, questing, grinding, maybe a few groups here and there, knew nothing about dungeons. A guy on the guild invited me to raid, so I went. Boy what a new world that was!
From there, it didnt take much for the others to realize the noob I wasā¦
who knew what CC was, not to stand in fire, boss mechanics and so on⦠we finished it tho, but I was told to stay no further than 2ft away from the healer and just shoot my gun from there. lol
After almost 13 years and over 400 days played I was lving in Classic and discovered you could actually vendor stuff without using the buy back screen!
All my years I only ever vendored items on the buy back pack and used to log in and out to reset the page. Then when they changed it so it had a cool down before more slots became available so I used to send stuff to alts or simply destoy stuff GOD what a noob !
Me and a guy got tricked by a hunters feign death standing next to his body wondering how he died so fast. Bet he had a good laugh.
Actually not when I was new to WoW, do not remember all the mistakes from back then. But with WoW classic, leveling a warrior to tank; At one point I mentioned to my friends who I play with I could not wait till I got the taunt skill. One of them said: Did you not get that like 6 levels ago?
I didā¦
1- trust blizzard
2- think classic will be better than nostalrious
3- paid for 3 months sub
There are my 3 worst noob mistakes
Always using max rank spells (especially for healers).
Waiting so long on agro, because you are afraid to pull it, that you end up doing no damage.
Having a pet - the whole shabag: from ninja pulling in dungeons, to forgeting you had it in the open world, sitting on passive and doing nothing.
Way back in vanilla while leveling in Elwynn Forest on my first character I one time got chased around by a skull lvl orc warrior who had made his way thereā¦
My first char 15 years ago was a warrior, i got to lvl 10 not knowing what a warrior trainer was. Then i saw this guy charge a mob and i asked him how he did that and he told me to get some new boots (that liar). So i grinded mobs for hours and bought every single pair of boots i could from vendors that i could afford in hope that one of the pairs would give me charge⦠and guess what? not a single mob was charged that day
Rolled a hunter in vanilla.
Used melee because ammo management was a pain.
Pet kept running away because I never fed it so did like 25-40 without a pet.
Hit 40. Bought tons of blue items and couldnāt afford a mount. Blue gear was always > green gear. So had a lot of blue stuff with stuff like strength or int or spirit on it rather than agi.
Thatās not really a mistake.
Elwynn Forest, mate.
Think about it.
- Got Fiery War Axe at level 37 and thought it would be a good idea to respec from Holy to Retribution.
- Continued to raid as Retribution for 15 years.
- Still a RETLOL today.
