  1. I have an old memory that I tried to swim across the ocean and then tried again with my spirit (didn’t know about ships)

  2. Back in 2004 I started playing wow on a private server because I didn’t have money when I was kid and on that specific server you were able to kill much higher level mobs so as level 16 I could go from barrens to dustwallow and farm lvl 40 spiders there. Then I played on a different server where this was obviously not possible so I complained in world chat that it is a bad server and not blizzlike at all since you cannot kill lvl 40 mobs as lvl 16 :man_facepalming:

  3. When reading this thread I learnt you don’t regenerate mana faster when sitting (after 15 years of wow)

  1. Rerolling a toon at level 50 because I didn’t know you could just pay the class trainer to respec. I only wanted to move a single point.
  2. Dual-wielding with MS as a Warrior.
  3. Deleting a Human at level 40 because I wanted a sabre as a mount instead of a horse. Rolled another Human, and trekked all the way to Teldrassil just so that I could do every Darnassus rep quest I could find.

P.S: I got a bit better as the years went by, honest…

  • Deciding I want to play druid instead, but with the same nickname.
  • Deleting my hunter and lvling druid to 60.
  • Deciding it was a mistake.
  • Deleting my druid and lvling a hunter to 60 again.

I thought Conservator Ithalaine whas like other NPCs a living human with feelings so I stalked a player that laughed above him to say sorry to him.
I started on a PvE Server because despite doing RP a feared the extra Rules on a RP Server, because I thought breaking on of those will let people bite of my head.
I thought Castle Steinard whould be a save heaven from all these orcs.

Back in Vanilla:

#1:
I thought because this is an mmoRPG, only decent smart intellectual people will be playing it, you know nerds who can finally be playing online a D&D like boardgame in a modern form. Not bullies, ninja looters, hunt*rds, your mom, and “uncle Joey” who likes young boys and girls… etc.

#2:
I thought other players would only kill you if you provoke them and not without a good enough reason, not to mention camping your corpse!

#3:
I had no idea which one is the “stronger option” Need or Greed, and since I didn’t wanted to be greedy because Greed is bad, I always clicked Need or Pass!

Nah. As long as you don’t intentionally and continually disrupt RP events, and stick to naming conventions, no one really cares much.

I agree. The only server where this happened in my whole life whas on Die Aldor Alliance. On the whole rest everyone whas nice.
