Are swords human prio? Because this is what are officers/GM are saying Non Humans are not allowed to roll on swords even though I own a pair of edgemasters we use loot council I just think it’s an excuse to take the best weapons we’re not even a min max guild is this the norm for other guilds or is it just a corrupt loot council?
Corrupt loot council. Honestly just find yourself another guild, the content isn’t even hard to give sword prio to Humans because of a racial that gives them slightly more damage is completely and utterly ludicrous. What’s next, gnome casters get priority on any gear with +int on it?
It’s not the norm. I’ve been in several semi hardcore guilds and this has never been in place. The only time LC ever stepped in was when it’s BiS for a certain class or casters trying to get Ony head over melee in previous guilds.
Ammm no? That sounds like an excuse for specific individuals to get the gear first. The weapon skill allows you to be more flexible with certain stats not have prio. My suggestion find another guild use the DKP that you have EARNED and get out.
If you don’t have human racial, then your guild wants you to take axes instead. There’s a lot of competition for swords as Alliance, less competition for axes (given that rogues cant even use axes).
And as a warrior, I’d rate Deathbringer + Crul as better than CTS and Maladath.
When you’re on a loot council, you have to consider more than just “who wants X”. My guild shares things out based on what is best for people, and how active those people are within the guild. Basically, we prioritise what is best for the guild, rather than the individuals.
Its up to every guild to decide for themselves. But generally, due to the loot competition over weapons between classes, non humans would choose to go for axes instead since they are just as good when you have edgemasters. But if you are a human, then swords/maces are undisputedly the best weps.
There is no use competing over weapons if you dont need to.
Never join loot council guilds.
Have fun wiping on the first boss of AQ40.
I’m probably not going to leave the guild just annoyed more than anything that I invested 1500g into edgemasters to be told I’m not allowed to roll on swords until the humans have had them first. I just wanted to see if other guilds are doing this aswell. Yeah I understand that it probably is fair in somewhat way to spread the competition but still its really annoying and I can see why it would cause problems.
Look at it this way: with edgemasters you’d be just as fine getting the axes. You could even use that as a reason to get priority on them.
Even with Edgemasters, you’d do less than a human warrior. The human warrior would be able to use other gloves, getting 1crit and 52 attack power over you.
Not only that, but you have rogues to consider too.
I don’t know your guild so I don’t know whether their loot council is corrupt or not, you’d have to talk to them yourselves. But most guilds with their sights on progressing through later content prioritise their loot for maximum efficiency.
I agree with Miylee.
Plus be more prudent when investing golds into BoEs or mats for legendaries. On a loot council guild you should always talk to either the GM or the class leader about priorities and what you want/are going to get. Assuming stuff makes more harm than good.
Also yes, usually swords are going to be given first to humans but (as Miylee said already) this usually means that axes are going to other ppl first.
Yes /10chr
Why are you annoyed?
If you have edgemasters, go for axes. Because for you, axes are just as good as swords and there is basicly no competition over them. So they should be easy to get.
And dont you want your guild to be efficient?
I dont see why you would even want to take a sword before a rogue or a human warrior, they cant go for the axes. Rogues cant even use them, and and it makes no sence for a human to go for axes.
Drop the ME-mentality and embrace the GUILD-mentality if you wanna go far and have fun in classic.
But you spent 1500 gold on edgemasters and you have a loot council that doesn’t let non-humans get swords until everyone has swords and with the rarity of weapon drops you’d never get a sword.
Sounds like min-max behavior to me.
The difference in damage between a nightelf and a human with swords isn’t going to be the difference between downing every boss or wiping all night.
Nope, but only joining guilds that run DKP systems is certainly going to hinder your ability to progress through harder content. Which was the post I was responding to.
Players being able to follow strategies is more important that how loot is distributed. Having a loot council does not guarantee a guild will perform at a specific level.
lol imagine being human.
True though that may be, guilds focused on DKP and their view of fairness almost always run less efficiently than guild’s running loot council.
Loot council is a system where the guild is put first, people putting their guild first is usually a sign that they’re more committed to accomplishing their goals.
Personal experience, of course. Each person’s experience varies, but I can’t remember the last time I saw a successful DKP guild.
Assuming the players are on a similar skill level then you should absolutely prio swords to humans. Unless you got like R12 or something you might aswell level up a human warrior, a lot of pve guilds don’t even invite non human/orc/troll warriors.
Just because it isn’t hard doesn’t mean you have to run subpar comps etc, if the player in question makes up his shortcomings in pve as a non human then they would obviously consider a exception.
I don’t know why you would have non gnome casters tbh, gnome is better in both pve and pvp.
I’m in a casual guild and we have 1 troll warrior as MT, rest are orcs.
you can easily pug aq40
- He said his guild isn’t really a min/max guild - If that is the case and then create a rule like this then it’s clearly a corrupt LC.
- Not everyone wants to play a race just because it’s ever so slightly better. Gnomes expansive mind isn’t actually all that much of a massive boost to DPS. Check out some theory crafting done on it, it’s a VERY slight increase in DPS. Those people join casual guilds that don’t min max, like the OP.
- Not everyone is interested in PvP
go for Deathbringer in Mainhand + Crul Shorukh in offhand, or Crul in mainhand and dooms edge in offhand if you are alliance non human with edgemaster.
if all of the other warriors and rogues are beating their heads in over the swords you can easilly get the 2 axes and deal almost the same amount of dmg as the human with bis swords. and you will deal a lot more dmg than the warriors waiting for their swords and still running around with dal rends set
edit: and the axes just look insanely good. look with atlas loot how awesome those axes look. the crul +dooms edge setup is just so sexy. even as an alliance night elf warrior
and if your guild give prio on swords to humans, they should give you prio on axes if you have edgemaster
