And on practice i didn’t get any gear last week from m+ even though i think i did 15-20+ runs.
And what dropped from others wasn’t what i wanted either.
So either i get unlucky or you got lucky, or maybe it’s somewhere in-between.
There is zero bad luck protection into this system.
I guess I’m nobody then, and people that I play with are nobodies too.
Sounds like your realm is fairly isolated from the rest of the world then. I hardly ever communicate with people on my realm, so all I know is cross realm, and that’s how I learned those terms.
It’s almost as if… The solution is really simple dunno blizzard might need atleast 3 more expansions to figure that out. .
How has blizzard not reliesed, they could appease millions of players by simply giving m+ and PvP and raid environments their own currency to buy rewards for their time spent in the content they grind.
If they wanna make it feel inclusive, just allow players to directly swap the currency from one enviroment to the currency of another enviroment so they can optionally grind gear for the other content through their main content.
Why does blizzard still feel after 4 failed attempts that the best way forward is to just enforce. 1 overarching type of content onto a game which has several end game progression paths.
We don’t need a fancy vault, we don’t need fancy 1000 difficulties of the same content
We just need solid pieces of gear that drops in the content we want to do which we can progress through the content we love to do.
Yes there’s grinds and yes they should be pros to doing all content instead of only one but my god they’ve done nothing but push this further and further. And now it’s so far at a extreme you litterally can’t enjoy the game if you don’t have the time to do 10 m+15s a week a raid on 2 difficulties and then spam arena.
It isnt. I just dont see peope use this term becouse there is no context for it. There is no reason to write it in first place anywhere from chat to LFG.
We do. And those that dont are get reported and get kicked out of bgs. They get deserter debuff. Unlike m+ leavers.
Raiders were whining about m+ players for getting ‘‘welfare loot’’ . So , blame them.
pvp gear always had certain amount of stats. ıt wasnt ‘‘RNG’’. Ah, also you can blame raiders for complaining about titanforgeing that existed in bfa, so titanforging system gone too. So no more Rng drops.
Mythic raiders want mythic raiding to be top gear so… Blame mythic raiders.
We had that kind of system in the past.Raiders doesnt want another chore for doing pve content.(they also hate m+, so we got m+ loot nerfs in a sense) They do regular raids and logout game. Rest, watch tv etc…
You can spam m+ all day. And ask other people to share loot with you. Though that depends on the mood and characteristic of the person. It is very rare.
You can unsub if you want. But problems doesnt get solved in one day.
215 is where you hit a stop though in mythic+ and Rival/Challenger rank.
They designed it so you have to mythic raid or get duelist+ for highest gear, or rely on 1 upgrade a week from now on.
This will feel bad when next patch hits and you’re waiting for weeks/months again to gear up from great vault.
It’s more of a catchup mechanism I suppose, a way to get mythic raid gear without raiding, but mythic raid is still at top for gearing, paired with duelist+ pvp gear.
This is not about PvE vs PvP, none should feel forced to do content they don’t enjoy just to porperly play the content they enjoy.
They reduced loot to make it more meaningful, but the game feels so unrewarding both in quantity and quality that i am closer to quit than i am to feel excited because something good finally drops.
Now i also have to say that the way gearing in PvP works is simply great and a similar model would be exactly what i feel that PvE is missing right now:
Points for doing activities with a weekly cap that keeps adding as the season goes on so you are not left behind.
Gear vendor allowing you to target certain slots.
Gear upgrades with availability based on your accomplishments.
I understand that they wanted to make gear more sparse but my goodness it really does feel like they went overboard and no I don’t want to do PvP though many have felt forced to take that route.
Personally I would prefer PvP gear to have a PvP stat and be less effective (and thereby making PvE gear less effective in PvP too). I really don’t understand this obsession Blizz have of forcing PvE and PvP players to do content they don’t enjoy.
Hit and Expertise? cool? Duuuuuuuude. You’re higher than Bob Marley ever was.
Multistrike at least had a graphical representantion of it going off. Eg chaos bolt and a smaller chaos bolt following right behind.
Besides, stats are just stats. They make you do more damage, healing, or take more hits in your face and surviving. That’s about it.
ARP would be nice to have back, except without this broken ability to go into negative armor on clothies like in wrath. Versa could be phased entirely into PvP as it’s basically PvP Power and PvP Resilience from MOP baked into one stat. Old Resilience was also decent (reducing the chance to be critically struck, thus reducing the bursty damage and possibility of getting zerged from 100 to 0 in one 4-second stun)
Both were good stats. Especially since they had hard- and soft-caps. And the softcaps where easily archieved.
You dont have to like them, but I like them because they add some RPG elements to the game and they had impact.
It was just a stolen and worse version of the elemental shaman mastery. It basically did the same that crit does but worse. Only classes that had a ‘‘Your multistrikes do X’’-Passive to them used the stat.
I personally dont see a point into a second crit stat.
No, stats are not just stats. Stats can greatly enhance and influence your playstyle. Haste is the best example. Your class plays faster and more fluid, each spec that has a softcap on haste will tell you how good it feels when you finally get to this point.
Crit leads to a more spiky/bursty playstyle. Which feels so good on hardhiting classes.
Mastery on the other hand is a boring flat increase in dmg/healing for most specs.
Aaah I forgot ARP… it was kinda cool for pvp. But it was difficult to balance. Thanks to how armor scales I doubt this stat can ever be reintroduced.
Well I am now stuck at mid tier 1800-2100 bracket and it seems that our ilvl is almost perfectly equal for the types and tiers of content we primarily do. If I were in 2400+ bracket and you were a mythic raider we would both have equally higher gear. Oddly enough, system is fair?
But i started clearing mythic raids… i didn’t get any gear from it so far.
Unlucky right?
And i have 20 heroic raid kills under my belt, do you know how much gear i got from those 20 kills? My pants, that’s it.
1 loot per 20 kills is fair, more awesome news at 11.
HC raiding has a 1.5 gear drop rate (if I’m not mistaken) which means statistically you should expect two pieces of gear next cool down. That being said I agree that raiding is the least rewarding content in terms of getting gear, considering that this content is non repeatable and random.
So in conclusion for me it seems like mythic plus gearing is favorable for an average player:
PVP gear - 0.8 gdr/week, time gated, determined, can’t be shared.
HC Raiding gear - 1.5 gdr/run, time gated, random, can be shared.
Mythic+ gear - 0.2-0.4 gdr/run, not time gated, random, can be shared.
It’s true, but one more caveat is that m+ provides lower amount at max ilvl than raid and arena when it comes to non-vault rewards. It’s probably to offset that it’s the best when it comes to intermediate ilvl.
And I’m at 2400 rating, and we have virtually the same ilvl.
And on reset you’ll increase it almost guaranteed, on reset there is absolutely zero reason for me to expect an increase with the amount of rng the loot has to drop for me.
I will get 1 small item with my conquest points. You should expect 1.5 items per raid , or 3/20 items per boss. If you would actually complete the raid on mythic (yes, I know it’s super hard to do atm, but the difficulty decreases with every week your raid group gears up), you would get twice the amount of items I get every week. My conquest yields 0.75 items per week.
You also get to farm heroic raids for the slots your mythic raid doesn’t drop, whereas I will get to have 197 ilvl on those slots only next reset, while for now I get 184 max on them.
