Hi,
I’ve only played WoW a couple times during certain expansions and also played for a few weeks on Classic.
I don’t have a lot of time to play but I still want to enjoy pvp in BG and arena in TBC
So could you please tell me what you think are in order the easiest classes/spec for pvp for someone who doesn’t spend a lot of time playing also called the skill floor.
Isn’t a troll post and I know that most classes are hard to master
I just want a class that requires the least amount of practice to be played pretty good.
I’ve played a little bit of Mage and i know they have a high skill ceiling.
I was thinking Mage/Rogue/Warrior mainly but other suggestions I’d appreciate it.
And also don’t want to be a healer.
I would say Warrior since Rogue, Lock and Mage are required to keep an eye out for interupts and CC whereas with Warrior you will often just train a target until it’s dead or until an opportune time comes up when a target switch is needed.
The classes I didn’t mention that aren’t healers have less options for comps such as Ret Paladin, Feral Druid, Elemental Shaman etc so I wouldn’t recommend those.
From lowest skill ceiling to highest
Warrior > Paladin > Shaman > Warlock > Priest > Hunter > Mage > Druid > Rogue
Lot of Vanilla PVP is dominated by classes that scale well with gear, warriors have been out of control throughout Classic. I remember back in Vanilla they were not as dominant prior to patch 1.12 it’s just a braindead class, you pair it with an equally braindead healer class such as the paladin and it’s just not fun to play against.
I main a rogue by the way, I still think it has the highest skill ceiling in the game when it comes to PVP and what you can potentially do as 1 player with control/Burst, in such a limited time frame as a melee class.

Hehe, i cant play hunter, with that dead zone its impossible. But rogue is easy, now we can see how players are different.
Mostly true, especially the warrior/paladin skill ceiling xD.
Warlock is the easiest class to do well with

Feral druid is for skilled players.
Rogue take some time to learn, but for pvp it was most easy class i played.
its pointless to ask here, every class will be easy except what he/she play.

If ya get a pocket healer, warrior is easy and a lot of fun. You hack and slash, bonk and chop until either your target dies, or you die.
Other than dat, SL/SL warlocks are hilariously easy to do well with. A bit more self-sufficient, too.
Whatever the case, mon, just remember one t’ing… Stay away from da voodoo!

SL lock isn’t hard to do well with but it takes a bit more effort to play the class well since you also have to control your pet.
I agree Rogue has a high skill ceiling but it’s more to do with reflexes since your going to find situations when if you press CloS to slow then your going to be in a world of trouble same with shadowstepping out of danger etc
Warrior
Mage
Lock
Rogue
With easiest being at the top
Does not matter much.
I think classes which are punished hard for mistakes are a bit harder.
Also classes which both need to interupt/cc targets and dispel/heal/whatever on friendly targets are a bit harder to master.
Other then this all classes are easy or hard till the extend in which you are good or bad.
If you have a certain understanding of the game, you can play any class well. If you do not have this insight and understanding, all classes seem hard and are hard to master.
It is in my opinion also harder to master a class which you dislike. So having a click with your class will make the transition into getting good alot easier.
Obviousely my class has an insanely high skill ceiling while it’s counters are the easiest thing to play.

Highly disagree with rogue. It’s one of these classes which takes much skill at highest level but is also very easy to play successful in normal bg and even lower arena as a casual if you want to.
Melee’s in general are easier in my opinion just because you don’t have to cast, can tunnelvision your opponents and getting distance is harder than staying close.
Positioning and dealing with roots and slows is hard with melees.
I play a druid so in my opinion druid is one of the easiest

Pretty sure mage is the easiest class which has ever been in WoW.
Big marge for errors while having a big marge to correct them.
That’s why there are so many mages…

I would say Warlock. Dots, fears and tanking.
I played mostly Rogue in TBC. It is a powerful class for 1vs1. But in 2vs2 and 3vs3 situations, mistakes (CDs use for example) can cost your team a lot. Warrior, is a much easier melee class in my opinion. And more effective.
From lowest skill ceiling to highest
Warrior > Shaman > Warlock > Priest > Hunter > Mage > Druid > Rogue > Paladin
Deffinitely a Priest.
The reason why many people think otherwise is that its also the most boring class, and not many play it. In TBC its one of very few classes that can play arena in 2 specs on high MMR.
i’d say
warrior / enha/ele shaman (if we don’t consider totem rotations)
then, holy/ret pala / warlock /spriest
and mage/dpriest/druid/rogue with highest celling
