M+ Runs: DF S4 vs TWW S1

Nice, it stabilised after the M+ changes didn’t it?

DF S4 was the first time under the new system, what I call the key squish. So it’s good to see S1 holding it’s own.

I realise some who liked doing the old low keys feel they are missing out but M+ still seems to be going strong.

Mission successful

DF season 4 was so bad. Even someone like me that runs a fair amount of keys every season didn’t bother with it :dracthyr_a1:

Dubious.

Mythic+ will have some players who just play it regardless of changes or design. They just go at it, day after day, dungeon after dungeon.
They represent the stable numbers. They provide a base that doesn’t go away, so to speak.

There are some other statistics that show that the overwhelming majority of players just do their weekly +10 and nothing else.

So what the graph sort of indicates – to me – is that the initial high number of Mythic+ runs per week represents everyone progressing to the point where they can do a Mythic +10 each week - and then that’s what they do.
Then there’s a smaller minority of players – the core Mythic+ fanbase – who do Mythic+ dungeons all the time, and who push keys, and who basically are a constant in the statistics.

If anything the graph just shows normal WoW behavior. We optimize our gameplay in order to do less of it. We aim to complete things, i.e. to be done with them.

You cant say this and then go

How would you know if you didnt bother playing it?

the game is not fun and blizzards

tuning/dungeons and classes is catastrophic.

lvl 75-80 tuning is bonkers

if anythign it shows that there is around 100k addicts rungn it no matter what.

anyone else left game is unlikley to return for s2.

I literally haven’t bothered with M+ this expansion.

In before the m+ hater squad arives with the “thats just addicts, that just white knights, thats just…whatever. The data is not real. It doesnt represent anything. M+ scks because I said so and no graphs or data will change my mind”.

You included?

I think this goes to show that some things that were added in the new seasons are a necessity to have player engage over time.
One of which is a seasonal affix, and it has too be a good seasonal affix.

I am curious as to how TWW S1 compares to DF S1 m+ :dracthyr_tea:

It’s just a common psychology. Many players didn’t like that they are suddenly doing keys labeled with a lower number, which was expected. It took some time for perception of what are high keys and what are low keys to settle in the new reality. That’s about it.

My guess is it would be a wonky comparison because the original M0-9 were nixed and Delves were introduced. So chances are, regardless of how the season would have been experienced, the numbers would be lower. But I understand the curiosity, from the feedback here the first TWW season didn’t seem very fun for quite a while.

nothing to do with m+ thus flagged.

On topic s2 looks to be ok so far with current change’s in place.

It can’t be compared unless someone removes all the data for keys 1-10 from that period.

But wasnt that last season a bit of a non season? I recall I enjoyed Remix, if no Remix was there, I’d have had a 3 months break !

As i remember s4 DF was an all time low, also for me. It wasn’t accessable. So when we compare with that… i don’t know. I let other people make conclusions about it. This season was because of delve-gear more accessable.

I personally was done with DF, I just did the KSM and since they used old sets and prev. used dungeons, I didnt even need to unlock the rest (portals and set-bonus looks).

I personally need a goal, and it just didn’t give me one. Plus, a bit “burned out” From S1-3 I admit, I needed a break, and would have, but they then announced Remix and I enjoyed that, It was chill content, and I wanted the sets etc and a few quick new alts !
