Hello Blizzard,

I am standing here with thousands of frustrating players in the middle of a desert where we are waving our hands frantically & screaming for help.

How ironic that this whole new content starts in the deserts of Uldum…

Would you at least have some decency to acknowledge to your subscribers who do pay your salaries that indeed the 8.3 patch is a major setback for Mac users?

Then it would just out of the same decency praise Blizzard if they would announce to all those Mac users that they would be compensated for the loss of a week playtime. (and I am not even talking about the AH issues that costs us many of ingame gold yet to arrive in our accounts)

Jup same problem here, solo leveling is okish on my Vulpera, but forget anything about instances.
please fix this Mac bug.

This is really embarrassing. I have had the same issue and haven’t bothered typing in the forum in the hopes it would get fixed asap and my saying something wouldn’t make a difference, however a week later and almost 4 days after the last response to us it is becoming really worrying. We all pay for a service that we are not getting and it’s being handled in a way that doesn’t reflect this… Poor that you’s continue to push and promote the patch and have time to try and sell extra services ie. discounted character transfers, 6 months subs for a mount. It really is appalling and clear where your focus is. Making more money before ensuring your paying customers can actually utilise what they pay for. It’s very evident that you’s aren’t confident in your product hence why you offer the free mount with a 6 month sub cos you know in a few, days weeks, months more of your customers will realise you don’t care about them and would not re-sub until they have a justifiable reason to, so why not get them signed up long term now so they have no way out, especially knowing yous cancelled 8.3.5 aswell? WOW used to be long term>short term and that’s why it’s been so successful in the past however it seems this has shifted to short term profit>long term which doesn’t take a genius to figure out. It’s clear that with all these problems, they way you are treating your loyal customer base and handling issues that WOW is in for some serious problems and will lose more and more paying customers in the LONG TERM, including myself. What’s even more concerning is if most of your player base can see this themselves then I guarantee your highly trained experts can as well which then means that your choosing not to better the way you treat and value your customers by CHOICE.

how did u do this, can u make a guide please so we can all do a bit of testing a find out if its the problem.
would be really sad if the community fixed the issue faster than blizz

Has there been any indication whether we can expect to be able to play after the reset on Wednesday?

Ok, so i was able to play the 1st part of the quest line and obtain the cloak with many many freezes and some reboots but in certain areas only.
Here are some interesting findings:

  • Rain. As soon as I entered an area with rain, boom freezes up. Only way out is camera to the floor or swimming (if available) if you are not out soon enough, game will crash.
  • Long Vertical flashes (spells or other ingame content- short doesn’t seem to give issues)

I am able to replicate the issue 100% of the time causing a computer crash when entering (not even doing anything) the dungeon in Boralus (Siege of Boralus) on different characters -> This should give you dev-team enough to log and see what happens as it is replicable!

Although I see the practical joke in your reply, I barely get a smile on my face as to how sad this situation in reality is.

I’ll do the job of blizzard. We are on mac, for them we are trashes, we are in europe, we are trashes twice.
It say we are fcked nothing new tuesday. Certainly next week.

Good to hear that a fix is being worked on. Although since there’s no timeline on it and US maintenance is tomorrow, I guess it’s safe to assume we won’t see a resolution in time for the new Raid dropping.

Dude give them your credit card instead of this. It’s the only thing they care.
Obviously it seems the problem was on Ptr.
For exemple i gave them 70$ to play this patch. (shadowland for reroll, 1 month sub and a token.)
And you know what, they earn money, i loose, i can’t play, they don’t care.
And it’s certainly the same for a lot of us.

is it not possible to sue blizzard for that? it is scam in my opinion and they could really lose this if we get some people together.

This pisses me off big time. So it seems a GM is able to at least leave a reply on a US forum but not on the EU forum?

Not that the post is providing any real information at all nor is there still any reply that the 1000’s of Mac users will be compensated. Hell there is even a discussion going on to raise a class action law suit…

Blizzard are you even reading what is going on, do you actually care? Your actions so far do not point even remotely in that direction, quite the opposite.

There are people already getting refunds for the pre-purchase and I am actually thinking in doing the same… so sad

EDIT: I put my money where my mouth is and opened a ticket for refund.

Just jumping on to say I’m in the same boat. I got a brand new MacBook Pro in late 2019 (on a work computer now so can’t post the stats). First rainbow wheel of death occurred in my first horrific vision, lagged out for about 40 seconds which was long enough to fail it. Frustrated I thought I’d avoid horrific visions and level an alt but then it started randomly occurring in dungeons and BG’s too, every two or three minutes, for a very disruptive length of time.

My boyfriend was pissed because he assumed it was the Mac that was the problem, which was a gift to me last year. So it’s a relief to know it’s not a hardware problem. Fingers crossed we get a Blizz fix in the foreseeable future.

Let’s spam the game or the forum at an hour, asking refund for shadowland.

Manage to complete 3 world quests before getting the so-called “rainbow spinning wheel of doom” aka 15 sec freeze. Manage to complete the emissary but that’s really it… Im loosing faith.

Blizzard EU, you’re doing an amazing communication job. Really.
If it wasn’t for people actually doing your job and relaying what’s being communicated on the US forum.
Because breaking news, we still CAN’T do anything of the content that is actually worth of doing in BFA/WoW, i.e. m+, battlegrounds, grouping etc. Too many graphic interaction causes us to crash.

Are there any decisions that have been made to actually delay next week’s content? Is there any update that will be pushed between here and tomorrow?
I’m not directing this “anger” of mine at the CS or the devs, but at the decision makers here.

If so many people take the time to actually speak out in this forum and ask you for updates (while it should be directly advertised on the logging screen), guess what, it is because we actually care. Take that to your fking hire ups and tell them if they wonder why they lost so many subscriptions over the last few years, it is because they fail to DELIVER. We prefer a product that is good to play with a few days / week of delay than a product that is not playable because you want to align $$$ on the weekly excel file that’s being sent to finance.
