Major issues after latest patch (addons, macros, pet bar)

Logged in today after the patch and pretty much every addon is out of date. The macros I was using don’t seem to work anymore, and even the default Blizzard action bars were acting weird. On my hunter, several pet abilities like taunt were missing from the pet bar.

Can’t just be me having these issues, right? I didn’t see any post about it so I figured I’d make one.
Has anyone found a fix or workaround for this yet?

I am not using any addons but I can confirm all my macros dissapeared from action bars.

US players posted extensively about those same issues yesterday. So no, you’re not alone.
Addons: Wait for developers to update.
Bars: Drag the macros/potions etc. back in place.

I experience the same issue. It’s not a hard deal though.

Same issue for me. All macros gone from bars.
Some of my elvui frames are working e.g my own character frames, but targets are all default UI. and when I join a group I get spammed with the “addons out of date, ignore or reload” but clicking either option does nothing as its being spammed so fast the only way it goes away is if I leave a group.

And for me only the pet bar looks strange - aka missing some actions. All the rest of my buttons - including macros, my HS and potions - are where they were yesterday and in working order too. I can only guess it’s some very much used addon acting up, as I do not use addons.

Another issue noted by other players is that weapons lost their glow effects (not the first time afaik)

Can this update be reverted please

But basically in a nutshell, this is what has been degraded:

  • 4hm often resets 100% of threat on mark application instead of 50%,
  • maexxna, fankriss and heigan can teleport MT,
  • Raz taunt can sometimes drop unexpectedly,
  • KT MC doesn’t actually MC, but still resets threat,
  • (allegedly) patchwerk hatefuls tank with lowest HP instead of highest, debunked, it’s not true
  • glow from gressil, thc and widow’s remorse removed. glow from iblis enhanced,
  • macros disappear from bars upon logging in and when accepting summon,
  • (allegedly) switching to 2nd spec resets all your talents to 0
  • retrieving realm list, both with swapping realms and logging in, is a lot slower
  • (allegedly) accepting a summon removes your character specific macros again from your bars False, accepting a summon does NOT reset your bars again. You just need to log out once after you did your bars to save into your WTF folder.

Anything marked with (allegedly) are things I haven’t yet seen or encountered myself.

For any addons, wait for them to be updated and disable temporarily.

This is for both Anniversary and Era realms.

These issues will be fixed in a timely manner, just like Ossirian evade abuse was fixed swiftly.

  • There’s now default cooldown timers on abilities, which can’t be deactivated via the option in the UI.

This apparently only goes for personal macros - shared macros are not removed.

Also cooldown timers on items in backpack, like potions.

I had severe issues with fps drops - the counter showed 60 but it seemed it was no more than 20. I found out that disabling Vertical Sync in Graphics options fixes that.

Thank god im not alone, I just made a post about it. I cant literally play the game atm because I need OmniCC for PvP and these stupid trinket, off hand and bag items like pots tuber are havnig 2 cd counts with OmniCC enabled.

And there is no way to disable it.

There IS a setting in the UI which used to disable this - only it dos not work after the update.

The setting works under Action bars > cooldown numbers.

But.. It only disables the action bars and not inventory / equippeble items.

It used to! I play without addons, and I never had those cooldown counters before.

I just started playing on the Anniversary server Thunderstrike and as a new character I cant make any macros as they wont save.
